I'm going camping in Cornwall this weekend for a friend's wedding. Am somewhat concerned that we are going to be the most ridiculous people on the campsite. I've not been camping in 10 yrs and my friend likewise. We are borrowing a tent that neither of us have ever put up and we have no kit at all other than the tent and a sleeping bag.
Top of our list was a corkscrew and I don't think we've got much more planned than that.
Then to make things even better my friend texted me this afternoon to ask if I had any tent pegs :eek:
Prepare yourselves for a 'hilarous' account of rubbish camping on Sunday night.......
dont get me and Bowski started on camping! we are pros...lol, going next week. I reckon, tent, sleeping bags and corkscrew is all ya need, apart from a roll mat under your sleeping bag or you'll freeze!
Oh and the pegs come with the tent!:T0 -

I think the problem is we are borrowing a tent off a friend and they've recently moved so perhaps pegs were lost along the way......
I would like to do more camping - is sooo bargainous!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills

Gagging for a coffee but am detoxingdesperate measures called for.
Spent last night quaffing wine & cake in equal measures to stock up. Today I have had peppermint tea, lemony water an apple & banana.
Bread is evil stuff that makes me fat .
Eco - glad to hear all is going well with your new/old BF & happy new car to you. I'm ashamed to say I havent been near the allotment for a couple of weeks.
Hmmm so hungry - must be time for a carrot & coriander soup & sadly not the delicious Seeds Of Change in a pouch one ... a Tatco diet special one that costs 55p for 4 of them , bet they're vile
If not overcome with weakness will return later ...0 -
Have solved mystery of missing tent pegs....apparently the last time my friend went camping, he couldn't get the pegs out of the ground so just left them there.....
Lula - you're onto a great idea, we should do a SAID swap shop with all the goodies we've splurged on over the years!!!
Oh well, watermelon dairquiri is freezing ready for our journey so I think we're all set. I'm going to brave the weather forecast in a minute!I've got my own flat :j:j
