    Blah. Bad day.

70 contractors got sacked today. literally told to pack their stuff and never come back. Then we had a meeting and another 100 permanent employees have to go within 2wks. I'm pretty sure I saw one guy break down and cry, a massive miner in tears is never a pretty sight. I felt worse because my job is 100% safe and in a few years I could be the bloke standing there telling them that kind of news.

I'm 95% through a bottle of wine and barely feel it, luckily I've got another half bottle in the fridge.

Sorry to hear that, TDQO. Have a dodgy hug and some more medicinal wine.
  • Hehehe.

We've had a load of Indians over this month for handover of the work they're taking off the people who are being made redundant.

Today one of the teams came in wearing tshirts with this on the front

    Hey All

    Hope you had fun evenings:

    I've had a v random day.

    On negative point:

Was called a fat c**t .. in the street!!...at work, I have a public facing role and sometimes it all goes wrong.... however have reported to Police and things are going further

    On positive point:

Went to Mojito masterclass, have a feeling I wasn't actually on list though, so a bit of a gatecrasher. However I went on my own, met up with a girl who was also on her own - she attracted a cute guy who had won a bottle of bacardi during the event which we drank afterwards so hae had completely bizarre and random evening involving much drunken-ness.

It also involved stolen crisps, electric cigarettes and a discussion on boyfriends under 6'

I'm at my sisters this weekend for my BiL's 40th birthday bbq, so may not be around much til next week.

Hope you all have a fab weekend!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

Yup i'm fanatical about research and eveything. Still goes wrong tho.
Lilo was a red cap oranda with a lovely red bulgy wen and gorgeous pearl/silver colour, and an excellent dancer when he wanted to be fed! Bit like me really;)

Oh I know what you mean! I do it all "right" and the poor sods still peg it. Its so frustrating and upsetting.

I used to keep fancy goldfish, loved redcaps but they just never survived very long :( so now I just keep single tails, am buliding a pond for them at the moment (I wonder why I don't have a boyfriend! :rotfl:)

am back from a very enjoyable night with a friend, it was great to talk and relax

    must read everything else now

    Hi All,

Im not feeling too good today, def drank too much champagne at the races:rolleyes: didn't win any money though (I think betting on horses based on them being pretty or having cool names was not the way to go!);)

Am so sorry to hear your news TDQO, we had loads of redundancies last year and the whole thing is really gutting.

SunderlandBlackCat, love the t-shirt design, made me smile! all our IT dept were outsourced and gradually they've all lost there jobs to guys in India (who are good at what they do, but its still doesn't seem fair)

makeup, I am very jealous of the mojito masterclass and the random drinking afterwards, sounds like great fun....

Hope you all have a fab weekend, Im off to crawl under my desk and hope nobody notices :o

    Morning all,

just popping in while I can - have to get the floor painting done this weekend & cannot see how to acess pc unless I come up with a suitable selection of harnesses & ropes to swing across the ceiling & alnd on the floor I prepared earlier where the pc will be languishing

MUST GET A LAPTOP ( the money I've done on the cc recently, I could have bought 2 :o)

Makeup - am furious n your behalf at ignorant & vile abuse - good job I wasnt there, would probably have got arrested for abh or something

Doctor @rsefish just text me ( only 20 hours past his ring by date ) & confessed to not having a driving licence ( neither did the Artifish , am beginnning to see a pattern here of men without licences on internet dating sites ) anyway, he suggested that I go to his & he cooks me fluffy slamon with tiger prawns, I drive to southampton for drinks, we postpone, have phone sex or none of the above.

I have read The Book so you all know that I'm going for the last option but without bothering to reply ... it's not just guys who can be too busy to call you know :p:rotfl:.

Am going to get on with painting tonight & then go out with my lovely friend tomorrow - she thinks she may have bagged a millionaire in France  so must keep close tabs on her :D

Happy Friday all, I'm now off to meet another friend for coffee - she's been happily married to childhood sweetheart for over 20 years so loves to hear all my single sagas :rotfl:

    bye for now

Update on the drama that is my life....
I am currently walking around work wearing 2 DIFFERENT SHOES:eek::eek::eek:. Granted they are black and a little similar but one has a nice bow on the side and the other has like a sparkle around the edge!
this would never have happened if i was supervised by a significant other, mother or anyone else who cares... you know the rest...as she spirals into nobody loves me misery:(

This is brilliant! Am assuming they are both flats?? Or are you walking in a funny stylee too??

I imagine that you are now super-cool trendsetter in office. Next week everyone will be doing it!

If anyone notices just say 'it's all the rage in New York' and 'Blake Lively wears odd shoes too'

And they both sound very pretty, hooray for sparkle on a work-day!
