    Hi guys

Feeling much better today:D..apparently the procedure is to go out and get a new fish so i am looking into the most hardy but beautiful fish i can get. this is the second time...my other fish Stitch died last year.

So...a macaroni pie (for those of you uninitiated:cool:) is a pie made with a pastry base and macaroni cheese in it as a filling. they mostly don't have a pastry top. When i came to the Highlands i couldn't beilieve they had such a thing- despite liking pies and macaroni cheese! But after a bit i tasted one and I AM IN FOOD LOVE! :Tthey are delish but oh so calorie filled so even i keep them for special treats/really bad days only.

sounds like a good plan on the fish :D

Im loving the sound of a macaroni pie, im drooling all over my keyboard :rotfl:

    Blah. Bad day.

70 contractors got sacked today. literally told to pack their stuff and never come back. Then we had a meeting and another 100 permanent employees have to go within 2wks. I'm pretty sure I saw one guy break down and cry, a massive miner in tears is never a pretty sight. I felt worse because my job is 100% safe and in a few years I could be the bloke standing there telling them that kind of news.

I'm 95% through a bottle of wine and barely feel it, luckily I've got another half bottle in the fridge.

I'm sorry for the demon I've become but you should be sorry for the angel you are not.

Wow, macaroni pie sounds delish, I shall hunt one down next time I'm in Scotland!

Was in Tesco today and if anyone is feeling the need for a gym ball, they have them for a fiver which is a good price both 55cm and 65cm balls.

I've got tickets for a mojito workshop tonight at Bar Ha Ha - (I'm on their mailing list) but my friend who was going to come has cancelled and I've tried a couple of others and they're all busy....I think I might still go though. I really want the free goody bag.......
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Oh no, that is horrible, were the redundancies on the card?

Such a terrible thing to happen, especially in such a specialist industry.

Hope the wine hits the spot.

Tell me about it. It was the last day here for quite a few people & I'm sat here in the early afternoon & the next nearest occupied desk is about 30 metres away. I took over a team of 20 at the back end of last year & at the moment I have a team of 2, 1 is on leave & the other has stayed off with suspected swine flu. Workload hasn't decreased though.

Apparently my boss has to lose more people in October as well

    Hello all,

the first bit of good news in that I got the gas bill today & that was £81.71 so fortunately & inspite of my stupidity over the money I had saved & then spent I have coverd both bills with £ 5 to spare :rotfl:.

As to Dr. fish ... pah :p I actually woke up during the night in a complete tizz over it - not wanting to drive down to southampton & back & burn up half atank of fuel in order to meet a man that I will probably not like or who probably turns out to actually be a hospital porter . I spoke to my also single & also internet dating & also having zero luck friend & we decided to go out & have fun by ourselves tomorrow night :D. Naturally this reduced me to a panic of the "I have nothing to wear" variety which actually is true becasue I am such a fat old trout that none of my going out clothes do fit me :o.

So, I found myself buying a new pair of jeans & new top for the quite bargainous price of £27 which I will now have to go & confess on the clothes challenge . I will be wearing the red shoes too :j.

All this forward planning is a good thing because as it turns out Dr. Fish is a complete @rse & is now 2 and half hours past his ring-by date  . Never mind, there is a final fish in the tank & this one is a Japanese & healthy food & exercise loving type. He is busy taking his children camping this weekend but says he'd like to go for a walk next week sometime. We shall see ....

I could do with some type of healthy person who will make me do exercise & eat good food because I have just ingested a cheese & pickle sarnie with a packet of mini cheddars & am currently wondering what I can devour next.

There's nothing quite like trying to squeeze yourself into a pair of jeans in a floodlit changing room to make you realize that you are not a pretty sight :(

Going to do some heavy duty hoovering now ...

Lilo was a red cap oranda with a lovely red bulgy wen and gorgeous pearl/silver colour, and an excellent dancer when he wanted to be fed! Bit like me really;)
