Mr Posh Town rocked your boat and turned out to be a complete @rse- amongst many other things:rolleyes:- so it could be that there will be someone on the site who you may not be particularly interested in just now (Mr Funny for example) who may just turn out to grow on you.

Now that you have made contact with a couple of others it may be worth meeting them on neutral territory for a chat. If nothing else you will get a break from routine and you might make a new friend:j (which I think was the initial plan).

I think that might be the worst date I've ever heard of Lula, but a friend of a friend met a guy in a bar, they got drinks, half way through, he got up and left. Didn't say anything, didn't finish his drink, just got up and walked out of the door! The fear of that happening to me has haunted me ever since.

Eeeek perish the thought, I'd be mortified, would be so much easier to double date witha frined in case of that type of situation ( without the men knwoing of course )

On the subject of POF. I had another chat with my fish this evening. He sounds nice. I'm not sure it's going to go anywhere though. Not sure if he just wants somebody to chat to or something more. He doesn't seem overly keen, that's for sure, but he still initiated the chat this afternoon.

hmmm, there's a couple of guys I just have brief one or two line chat with most evenings, i think they 're probably quite happy with their life but just like to have some no hassle female company now & then. ( probably tell all their mates we're an item though :rolleyes:)


My profile does state that I'm just looking for friends but no one appears to take any notice of that.

Ladies and Gentleman I have bizarrely been on a date this evening.

Why bizarre I hear you ask......

Well was walking home from Mr T's with my shopping (including nice green blouse for work as am trying to smarten up my image - well without losing my jeans) when a guy started talking to me on the street.

This happens quite a bit but mostly they are a bit odd or strange or something.

However he asked me out, he seemed quite nice and something about him made me think he wasn't an axe murderer.

So I agreed and he said what are you doing tonight?

I hummed and hawed a bit and in the end agreed to go out with him this very evening. I met him at 10pm and we went to a nice pub which is a short bus journey from me and we had a drink and came home.

Thing is, he was a nice guy but we didn't have any spark and I don't think we really clicked properly so I don't think I'm going to see him again but he wasn't a crazy guy or weird or anything so in a way I'm pleased I was a bit spontaneous!

- there are indeed nice men out there ...and you deserve one :AI would say that you are more likely to find one if you use a dating site that you have to pay for :rolleyes:. . The thing is, I think I now know that for me, it's that first impression / attraction that counts & no matter what a person looks like in their photo, or sounds like on the phone, or their interests, hope, beliefs & desires ... actually meeting them can be very disappointing. I have a friend who is also currently internet dating & we are both agreed on that.

No harm in trying though ...

I'm by no means fat but I have a lot of extra weight on my chest and stomach... man boobs in other words!

My legs are pretty much solid muscle and my arms are hefty but my torso need a lot of work.

I had a fitness assessment today and I'm 1 out of 5 which is the worst, nothing I didn't expect but it's still a serious blow to the ego! No wonder no aussie women have even looked at me when I'm this overweight!

It's been 3wks since I stopped smoking cigarettes and I start circuit training 4x a week tomorrow... I have six weeks to regain some self respect before I get back to the UK... it's going to hurt!

Oh and the girl I like who lives in the same house is now seeing someone :mad:
