:j Skint - C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S - Well done you! :j
Shoe Gal - have a lovely night out.
Sarah - Glad you're feeling better.
Lula - Enjoy the pink - er lemonade?Have just realised that it is nearly 20 years since I last went to a festival... Will have to settle for being old & groovy now.
Gwen - That's a pain with the car, but well done on the other domestic things such as a new bin.
Two large bags of paper recycling and a half a bin of shredding now complete here. Have found my swanky makeup bag with swanky makeup in it - only problem is that it's been so long since I've used it, it's probably only fit for the bin. Think I'll bin the mascara and anything creamy, and keep the powdery stuff. Anyone know how long highligher (powder) might keep?0 -

Hi Hollyberry
I think it'll be OK so long as it hasn't dried out and started breaking up

Hi
Well done skint_spice! That's amazing. What are your plans now you're free?
I'm a little bit gutted. I tried to apply for a HSBC credit card this afternoon, through quidco, purely for the 20quid cashback and got refused. Damn. Maybe once I start making real inroads into my credit card I might get accepted. I did miss some payments earlier in the year, which wasn't good. I just forgot. Now minimum payments are set up on everything, but I'm only keeping a balance on my Barclaycard.
I have ordered my new phone. Hopefully it will be here this week and I should get 90 pounds cashback. I went for a Sony Ericsson in the end. Thanks for all the recommendations. It looks nice and I read a few reviews online and they were all good, apart from one (but I really think they had ideas of a snazzier phone than I do - I don't need email, web blah, blah, blah).
I'm currently considering what to do with my broadband too. I'm with Be at the moment and I've not had any problems with them, but would like to see if I can reduce it and get some cashback in the process. I might leave that job until tomorrow though. I've had about enough technology for one day.
I've also done a few calculations and I think there should be enough money in my car account to cover both sets of tyres - yay! And there should be enough left for my insurance, RAC, tax, etc, etc. Sarah - I totally agree, it is rubbish. I hate spending money on my car (except insurance and that's only because I get excited about cashback). It's just money spent and nothing to show for it. Nobody is going to look at my car and say 'Wow, what lovely new tyres you've got!'. Oh well...
Nice to see you back ShoeGal and a fab night out to look forward to! Are you wearing your maxi-dress? Or do you have another fab outfit planned?
Sarah - Hayfever sucks. I've had it quite bad this year and it's not nice. It's really muggy here. Hoping for a good downpour to wash it all away. Then it can warm up again in time for next weekend
Lula - I'm exactly the same! Not once in my life have all areas in my life been going well. At the moment, I'm fat and doing a bit better with money, before I was thinner and had no idea what was going on with my money (except that I was in debt and burying my head in the sand). Unfortunately, through both phases, my love-life's been carp, lol!!
Right, I'd better get on with more jobs. I have plans to bake flapjacks (this might stay as just a plan), but I can only try.
GwenxThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Hi people. Anyone around?0

Hi all, hope everyone's well!
Haven't been on for a while so I've been trawlin through the last couple of pages.
The Boss- You've been on for a good couple of days, but still- Welcome!
Gwen80- Going to Wimbledon, AND you got to lust after Caleb Followill in the somewhat distant flesh? If you weren't so fabulous I'd have to hate you lol!
Skint Spice- Congrats on finally being debt free- You're an inspiration to us all!
And a message to all- according to one of my books (What every woman should know about style), red shoes are 'the stuff that fairytales and fantasies are made of'. Therefore, IMO no one should ever deny themselves such beautiful foot adornment based on the fact that others may deem them too risque.
Plus, I LOVE my red shoes- they're so pretty lol!
