My finger is hovering over the 'buy' button on 3 pairs of shoes - help  distract me quickly !!!

I have been putting things in the basket and then closing it down so I can think about it overnight, got rid of a few inappropiate but bargainous pairs that way.;) Leave them for now and have another look tomorrow, so you know it's not just the spur of the moment and that they are well thought out purchases (which I'm sure they are:D )

Wow sarah - I'm impressed by your tidying & financial wizardry. Bad news on the car tax front though, mine is going to be £120  at the end of May & I'm going to throw all my £2 coins at it.

Shoe Gal - I was salivating as I read that list of freebies, no way would I have been able to resist that lot, pehaps a pizza too was pushing it though  :D never mind, take makeups positive view on it & tomorrow you can not eat a free buffet or order pizza.

I'm having to change the way I shop in order to do this, doing the big weekly one is so ingrained in me that I just put stuff in the trolley ( too lazy to carry a basket round the shop :o ) without even thinking.

Like sarah I have high hopes for a 4lb loss but still cant see how that's possible when eating all those nuts  . I might have to have another omelette tomorrow but cant really cope with too many eggs :(

Did I mention that I was given a flake easter egg today too  I swear I can hear it whispering my name ...

Thanks, I would have considered today a great success if it wasn't for the car, it gets me every time:mad: I have also discovered I have lost my driving licence, will have a big search at the weekend, but if I can't find it, the car will have cost me even more money.

I know what you mean, Mr Kipling was practically bellowing at me across the aisles in the supermarket today. I felt it only polite to respond, especially as he had gone to the trouble of putting my favourite cakes at half price.

I just keep remining myself of that feeling I get when I have eaten something I shouldn't have, when I feel guilty and annoyed with myself and I know that the food only lasted 20 mins and I have ruined the diet again for the sake 20 mins when I was doing so well.

I have to think that it's only for a short time and when I have lost this weight I will be able to eat yummy things again within reason, but I won't do it to the excess I used to because I won't want to get fat again. I have been fat and thin and thin is better. Once I am thin I am never getting into this situation again.

Night night shoe Gal, well done for resisting, & gosh sarah, that was very good calm advice :T

Hmmm your car has been very demanding so far this year, perhaps you do deserve all those shoes  :rotfl:

I'm hoping my Quidco cash arrives in the bank tomorrow as I've been sent a lovely leaflet full of boots points to be used & am getting very low on various lotions & potions that I would otherwise feel olbiged to scrimp on. With all this debt busting & cutting back, my skincare stuff is the one thing I havent yet had to compromise on & I really really would rather not.

Phew for a timely Quidco payout :j

Precisely, well said :A & all the money we save on cakes we can spend on clothes :rotfl:- dread to think how much all the junky stuff would add up to over a year

Have a look at some of the shopping lists on the Boots thread on grabbit, they are excellent for showing you how to get lots of skincare very cheaply by combining coupons, have [STRIKE]spent[/STRIKE] saved a fortune.;)
