    hello3.gifto all you lovely SAIDs

Firstly commiserations to the stressed (Buffy) and sick (TDQO) and hope you're both doing ok.

welcome2.gif back to Shoe Gal from her travels, and Rosa from her real life.

gaah.gifto all thoughts of tidying, housework and the like... keeping us from a life of roman.gif

You'll have to excuse me a little excitement, as I am quite simply gobsmacked by tonight's eBay sales. I decided to offload some summer dresses which are now too big :D and they are selling like hot frocks for way more than I had imagined in my wildest dreams. dancers3.gifI have been slacking off listing on eBay for ages because like everyone else I find it so very boring. But with this week's sales I've now made half the car insurance payment (via Quidco, of course), which is a very very good thing. :D

    Hi folks!

I tried to post a reply last night, but it timed out and it was all lost - grrrr. Hope everybody had happy and cheap weekends. Welcome back Shoe Gal! Glad you had a good time. Looked up your thread - I like the sound of the Goddess plan!!

My date with Gavin went well and I'm seeing him again this week - either Wed or Thurs, not sure which yet. I met up with some friends over the weekend and had a night out, which left me really hungover yesterday. Its frustrating to lose a day to a hangover, but I hardly ever go out so I'm not going to beat myself up over it too much.

Finances wise, things aren't going well. They're not completely out of control, but my spending diary has gone out of the window. However, I've had a letter from Barclaycard this morning saying that I can transfer balances to them at 0% until Feb 2010. There's the 2.5% fee, but it'll still work out much cheaper in the long run. So I have to dig out all my statements and get them all transferred. Will be easier I think to just have one massive credit card than lots of smaller ones and I'll get it paid faster because of the 0% on them. Woohoo!

Anyway, I've also figured that basically my income is just not high enough for me to save like I'm trying to, pay off my credit cards and have any sort of life so I need to increase it. There's the *possibility* of some overtime in the next few weeks and if it happens I'll grab it with both hands, but it won't be much. I really need to get onto the case of ebaying stuff and matched betting. I will get this sorted!!!

It's gorgeous here, hope the suns shining where you are!

    Gwenx

Hi all, glad you had a good time ShoeGal and no, shoes bought in euros don't count:D

Am still getting all panicky about debts but also trying to be positive and I do know it will all sort itself out eventually and I won't starve (although a little starving wouldn't hurt:rolleyes:) and some day I will be debt free but I am so impatient! Plus work has been rubbish recently so am on basic salary which means I get by but not much more.

I bought some lovely underwear :o from M&S which I know was naughty and a bit stupid in my current situation but I wanted some matching underwear and I saw some in the shop and went home to check if I could get it cheaper online, got 2 matching sets using codes and quidco, reduced from £56 to £31 and free delivery.:j I needed cheering up and to stop feeling so frumpy all the time:o

My plan I made a few weeks ago has obviously gone to pot a little but I am still following the main principles, the underwear is the first splurge I have had for a while, am still being frugal with food shopping and only doing one shop a week, using vouchers, having NSDs (which I keep forgetting to log) and taking advantage of any freebies. I intend to stick to it though, one small splurge won't wreck it and I am making progress and really stopping myself from thinking I need things when I don't. I think that using cash helps, I could easily hand over the card for £50 but I don't think I could part with that much cash in one go:rolleyes:

I have decided to just tackle one debt at a time and pay the minimum on the others while I thrash it down, am going to concentrate on Barclaycard, 3-4 good months at work will see that gone, but have to wait and see what happens with work first. I can only work with what I have. I must remember that and not stress. It will get done.

On the debt free front today I have read papers online, had store cupboard meals, checked quidco and pigsback, done washing at 30, put coins in piggy, 2x £2 coins in pot and made small standing order payment to my savings.

On the diet front I have had lots of coffee, chicken sandwich, baked potato with ham salad, yoghurt and a creme egg.
    Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000
June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40
    Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j

Hey Sarah, my Barclaycard is what I am planning to hit first starting end of June, will take me 3 months I think.

    Shall we have a race?

We seem to have the same tastes, even in debt in seems!
