Oh no, shame you're at work on a bank holiday, but do you get extra for it? Hope so.
I was planning on lending stuff to a friend for a wedding this year, but its in Cyprus and we've both decided we can't afford to go. I really should sell it. I've got so many clothes and I don't need ones just hanging there that won't get worn again. I'll keep the gorgeous dress and that'll do. The thing is I hate throwing stuff away (I don't like to waste stuff and I always think 'what if I need it?'), but my house is tiny and I need the money, so I may aswell sell what I don't use and doesn't have sentimental value. I'd rather have a nice house with less stuff in it, than a damp sh1thole crammed full of stuff.
How's everybody else doing?

Happy holiday everyone
Just got back from my weekend away - have spent a bloomin' fortune and stuffed myself stoopid...:D Great fun for me but will be regretting it later in the month!! These things always turn out to be waaayyyyy more expensive than you think they will be.. or is that just me..??? Maybe part of the reason I'm here.... no real handle on true costs etc.. blahblahblah...:o
Anyways I had a lovely time and I am now the size of a house
Hope all the ebaying is going well guys- sounds like there are some tough decisions being made!!
Don't wanna go to work tomorrow:mad:FeeFee

Whereabouts in Oz are you? Have you emigrated out there?
I'm about 50km south of Sydney, not emigrated just spending a year out from my degree working in the mining industry. Ah I seee.... never been one for Sunday drinking myself but here in Oz Sunday afternoon is one of the busiest times for pubs! The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Hope you lot enjoyed the bank holiday, I've spent the last 2 days in bed feeling terrible
I'm well enough to go to work tomorrow now but I'd really like another day off. Unfortunately if I have 3 days off in a row I'd have to get a doctors note and over here you have to pay for all medical stuff and I don't have a medicare card
On the good side I've finally got all 3 of my bank accounts set up online and only one is in the red!! Though it is over 111 pounds in the red! I need to transfer some money back into it pretty quick but with the exchange rate + next months bank charge + several months interest means I need to chuck in at least a fortnights pay and I still have to buy my plane tickets back to the UK!!
Hope you're all still ffffing fabulous! The size of a glory hole in an open pit should not be greater than the cross-section of the haul trucks that dump into it. Otherwise, you are bound to lose a truck, sooner or later. Source: Sergio Cha

Hello TDQ my sweet,
I am totally FFFFFing fabulous of course, but then you know that anyway
sorry to hear you've been ill, big dodgy hugs to you & wish you better soon.
I've been busy creating a mess & having fun in the garden. I 'acquired' some free rocks, plants & logs & have now created a magical space what with a homemade firepit & all
I've also just walked to next village along the towpath & ought myself some reduced salad for tea from waitrose. So a brisk 20 minute walk each way & salad wow i am truly :A:rotfl:0 -

Just wanted to pop on and say hi. Not been around much, have posted on the odd thread but never really sure what to say here as my stuff seems so blah
SO figured I would just offload all my blah anyway as I have a few minutes before I leave to go home!
My course is still as boring as when I started, and I think the boredom tires me out more then anything as I can barely face doing stuff when I get home! I've already passed my ECDL (lost 2 points out of 228 :A) and I am just bumbling along wasting time till the end date of June 5th. Still frantically job hunting (mainly to escape this course!), although still being fussy in what I apply for I guess. Had an interview last week, it went ok, but I dont think I did anything to stand me out from the other 100 applicants they have
Dieting, hmmm not lost a thing since I last posted, I think I am forever going to be stuck at 14st 3lbs, but least I am a size 16 now! I'm a perfect comfort eater unfortunately! So boring course, my divorce being finalised, sorting out the house move and job hunting is not helping my waist! Still in debt and its not going anyhere fast as had to drop my payments down to the bare minimum thanks to horrid bills and rent increases. I am so looking forward to the day I can actually work towards my debts, or at least be able to afford something outside of a really tight budget
Discovered the OH actually has a cottage that has as much junk in as my house, so we have been trying to work through it a little at a time. Bad side to that is the little bits we pull out that he wants to keep are usually ending up over my place as he has little space in the house he shares with his friend. He also has an obsession with clothes, in that he wont get rid of any! Even though they are miles too big for him etc .. have told him when we live together he has 1 wardrobe only! I've had a good change of heart in that I actually get rid of stuff as soon as its too big for me or I put it on and go bleh dont like how it looks! All I need to do is extend that way of thinking to all my other carp in the house!
Anyway, time to escape, so toodles from me and love to all, new and [STRIKE]old[/STRIKE] established members of the thread0 -

What degree are you doing? A year out in Oz sounds good. I've got family out there. Is it expensive out there, I always get the impression that it's cheaper than the UK, especially food, but it's hard to tell as I don't earn an Ozzy salary.
Hmm, not great day for me. Alarm clock didn't go off, so totally overslept and was late for work. Eeek! Worked hard this afternoon though and have loads on at work, so will have to really get my head down for the rest of the week too. Bit stressed about work as there's all sorts of crappy politics going on and not sure where it'll leave me, but I'm trying to forget about it as I find I waste so much time/energy stressing about stuff that I shouldn't.
Cos of that though, I nipped into M&S after work, got my friend a b'day card and bought some salads and ready meals (plus mag and paper). Must try harder tomorrow. On the plus side a statement for my A&L card arrived this morning and it is lower than I thought. I suppose that half makes up for the &more card being higher than I thought. I'm going to do loads of washing tonight and tidying. Seeing Gavin on Thursday night although we've still to arrange what we're actually doing.
How's everybody else doing? FeeFee - Your weekend away sounds good - I'm hoping for one of those myself this weekend.

Blah is just fine by uspretty good at the old blahblahblah myself!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Good luck with the hot date on Thursday Gwen.. we can't wait to hear how it goes;). Hope you get your weekend away too:j
I am tidying/washing etc too.. trying to get sorted after the weekend plus am off on a conference tomorrow till friday so need to get organised for that too. No doubt it will be very MSE as I'm sure everything is paid for by the sponsoring companies :T:T.... only trouble is it will surely involve copious amounts of drinking and eating again... was so going to try to be good as well. Will be packing my cossie tho as the hotel has a pool so will try to get some swimming in (for swimming read *sauna/steam/jacuzzi*) It is such a mystery that I don't fit into my clothes...????FeeFee
