I agree Pink bank holidays are boring, if you go anywhere you risk been stuck in traffic anyway, in a way glad I'm working tomorrow, been gardening today, need to weed this week but i hate that job.

Yep, bank holidays are those holiday that are great when I had my ex. Then it was time that was never enough. Now it's just trying to get through it until I have company and a laugh at work again.

I get very down since I've been single during bank holiday weekends.

That's the trouble you don't realise what you have till it's gone, and I always seem to think weekends go too fast, then an extra day and I'm looking round for something to do and really it's a waste, then I keep telling myself I won't be single forever so I should enjoy the peace and quiet while I can.

    Hi! :hello:

Sorry folks aren't having a great bank holiday. Hugs to you all :grouphug:. I could do with a couple more days off. I have way too much to do, tidying, decluttering, sorting stuff out. Thinking of ways to save/make money.

I'm thinking of stuff that I can put on ebay. I'd already thought of a couple of jumpers and a top. Also a couple of CD's and DVD's. I've got a Coast skirt that can go on there (although it has a couple of small pulls in it) and another skirt aswell, which is beautiful. Also, two tops which I bought to go with above skirts. The thing is apart from the first skirt I don't really want to sell the rest of the Coast stuff. I haven't worn it for well over a year and realistically wouldn't wear it again. I think I just want to hold onto them because they're gorgeous. That's stupid though, isn't it? Having a load of clothes sat there in the wardrobe that you never wear? Has anybody else thought like this? I have to change my way of thinking.

Also, I'm thinking about starting a diary. Mainly because I seem to be using this as one anyway and it really helps me focus.

Haven't heard from Gavin since Thursday night when he texted me :( , so a little worried about what's going on there, but maybe he's just busy. Listen to me, being all rational about a guy - how did that happen??

P.S. I've discovered the smiliey things, so please excuse!

Gwen, I'd keep the stuff if you think they are gorgeous (unless you are so skint you can't eat or pay bills). what's that old quote about never having stuff in your home unless you know them to be useful or believe them to be beautiful? I'd get rid of unwanted gifts/memories of exs first. If you do sell the stuff then you'll not be able to buy again at the same price.

Hope you hear from G soon and try not to stress (easy for me to say I know). x

    Hey Gwen,

No-one's going to worry about a couple of pulls in a Coast skirt. The thing is though, I have a Karen Millen skirt and top that are both absolutely beautiful, they cost me £190 in total 5 years ago, I wore them to 2 weddings that summer in 2004 and I will not ever, ever part with them, I'd go bankrupt before I'd do that. They are my memories, or what is left of them, of when I was was happier.

As for the guy. Just let it be. If he likes you you won't need to wonder.

They are gorgeous clothes, but I'm fairly certain I'd never wear them again, so there's no point is there? Hmm, maybe I will list the other stuff first, while I get my head around the rest. I can afford to eat and pay the bills (although am scared about the gas/electricity), but there's other stuff I want to do. Like do up my house, go out a bit more and maybe go on holiday. I can't really do that stuff until I've paid off my credit cards and saved up (in the case of house and holiday). I really would never wear them again, I think I just need to get my head around it. I have a black and pink Coast dress which I'll keep as I've only worn it once and I really, really do lurve that.

Gavin has just called. We're meeting up this week, so hopefully that'll be good.

Well, that's fair enough then. If you put on ebay what you don't think you will wear again, and keep the dress you really love, then that's a good decision.

See, he worked out. That's good. :o

Yeah, I'm thinking I've got loads of older tops and stuff aswell that I could sell and a couple of handbags. There's a rowing machine and exercise bike to sell too. I have to start focusing though, because otherwise I'll be here forever in this hole of a house and the fact of the matter is I'd rather go without most things and live somewhere half decent, so I've got to get saving/paying off the cards.

He did call and wants to meet up again, so that's good. Hopefully will get more snogs - lol!!

Have you found your cards/PIN's yet Pink?

Yeah, I found them when I was changing my bedsheets, they had got caught up in them somehow, I think I hid them under the duvet and they got in there because I was scared someone was going to break in and steal them.

I'm at work so hope everyone who's got the day off is enjoying it.

Gwen about the clothes can't you swop with a friend or relative, my sis borrows a lot of my stuff if she has to go somewhere, saying that she borrowed a Jasper Conran jacket i bought last year, when I asked for it back she said she was saving it for me, and if I needed to borrow it I only had to ask, she's a cheeky b****r it's mine, but I know it's safe and won't get ruined. If i have a clear out she and my neice like to look through what I'm chucking.

And I know I will have to declutter a bit, when your the one in the family everyone asks have you got... and somehow you have it's getting bad, my brother needed some wall paper paste, I said I didn't have any well I'd not bought any but I found a bag in the cellar and to be honest i think my mum bought it, she's been dead 6 years but he said it was ok. I just don't have a clue whats down there.

glad you found your cards Pink but it made me laugh on your choice of hiding place.
