I believe the discount should be 8.4% plus the 8% for dual fuel & monthly direct bebit = 16.4% total discount

At least that's what 2 of the comparison sites I've looked at state.

I think it varies by region. Here in Surrey, it seems to be 6.5% + 8%.

But of course E.ON could be lying to me, I'll have to wait till I get my bill to see.

Why is that relevant? So do the base unit prices.

After watching how the energy companies run their 'fiefdom' for a short while, Im truly shocked at the level subterfuge. Now Im not saying they are acting illegally, but they all use confusion to their gain.

Your correct - the discount does seem to vary by region!

How on earth can E.On justify a differing discount for using online facilities based on where you live?

    Hi guys

I think you may know by now that my colleagues and I are not in a position to make justifications or criticisms about E.ON’s commercial business decisions. Whether this is the way the prices work or the way the website works.

We want to give advice to E.ON customers and help where possible with any questions that are asked, but there will be some things that we just don’t have the answers to.

I’m always happy to take feedback away from what I pick up on the forum, so any comments you want to make are welcome. :T

I understand that different prices in different regions is a business decision.

But are you saying that not telling existing customers how much they will be charged is a business decision as well?

Here's one: where can I find the actual prices in pence per kwh, and actual discounts expressed as a %, for the Extra Saver tariffs?

    Hi thelawnet

Have just spoken to our website development people and a change to the quote and switch facility on the website is currently being tested. :j

Rather than give you the discount as a monetary figure based on the figures entered along with your post code, the detail screen will show the percentage discount for that area.

Have been advised this will be in place in the next two to three weeks but don't take this as gospel. ;)

In answer to your question, this isn't possible at present but will be in the near future. :)

My new discount with V13 is only 14.5% (8%+6.5%). And my expected 9% reduction in electricity turned out to be only 2% - surprise, surprise!!

Do you mean 2% after discount? Or 2% before discount?

Will this work for existing customers? Or will you have to pretend to be new?

And can you please publish the discounts along with the tariffs? I don't need a quote, I need actual facts.

2% after discount - I was disappointed, but not surprised
