Do you qualify for any incapacity / disability benefits after the results? That may be a solution to the job situation - or voluntary work to keep you occupied? (Although I think you probably have enough with the twins!)

Good luck with the GP.
Feeling very pleased with myself as have managed to order a Royal Doulton figurine online as a birthday present for a relative. Saved £10 but had to pay £4.95 postage-still better than having to pay bus fares and traipse around the shops.
Found frozen mixed berries in the freezer so have them defrosting in a bowl then will add custard on top and add squirty cream at the last minute to make a cheats trifle for tonight.

Hope you feel better tonight after your trip to the "fang farrier"."This site is addictive!"

Hello everybody . Not had chance to read (as I'm meant to be working and not reading this!!). Will read later tonight but hugs to all, happy birthdays to all (spotted a couple of cakes) and hello to all. A bit nippy here today and sun not shining as much as it was yesterday. Also last night Mr Rage and I realised that we actually haven't got the money for our China Solar eclipse tour. Well, actually we have but we'd ear-marked it for something else so it's beans on toast for us :rotfl: We'll get it (I'll just be typing until the wee hours most nights!). Apart from that nothing to report. The people doing the cavity wall insulation (scheme from the gas and electric suppliers) couldn't get their ladders 'round the side so we have to appraoch next door  and ask if they can go on to their property - so, I don't think it'll be happening  . Still at least we got the loft done (which I have to send off a cheque for this week). I have also ordered the fabric I need in order to stitch the "Rage in Eden" album cover to get signed by Ultravox when I go and see them. Should be pretty easy but I'm not looking forward to the lettering which has "shadowing" if you KWIM..... Right back to work but first to take the sausages out of the freezer for tonight's sausage casserole with jacket pots and HM treacle tart and custard for afterwards..... mmmmm treacle tart.....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

Another sunny and dry one today, need it with all the holes dug in everyones drives, it would be  if it was raining and it all turned to mud.
Gas board turned us off a bit later this morning 8:00am, so no hot water on tap until they turn us back on at about 5:00pm, ah well at least we can boil the kettle.
Our new cooker arrived this morning at 9:45am, OH fitted it and it looks good, must say I am impressed with Currys, they rang us 15mins before they arrived with it :T and took the old one away, at 10yrs old it had served me well

Good afternoon!
Lovely day here again, dog still didn't fancy going out much though, still I dragged him along until he decided to walk properly! I think I have the laziest dog in the whole world!
Had a quick S&S and tidy round and think that's it so far today as far as os is concerned!
Lunches were hm pasties, apple, raisins, hm biscuit and yoghurt.
Dinner will be something with sausages, possibly toad in the hole, poss just sausages and mash!
Picked up some leeks cheaply yesterday, so will do those for dinner as well I think.
Meant to be doing some reports, but the distractions are huge! Have done about half of them, also entered a selection of competitions in Cosmo and registered for some extra clubcard points via my phone (info on weekly mse mailing), should come in handy for ds's planned trip to Alton Towers! Thankfully the offers are on stuff I use, which makes a change - I never see offers on Marmite, but there is one here!
Hugs to all who need them and happy birthday Vicky xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Hi all,not posted much recently but DH and DS2 have gone to start the building work today that should keep them busy for a few weeks (and out from under my feet
)DS1 tends to stay in his room a lot since he came living back here for a while, and is applying for countless jobs.He has also signed up for a course that will further his skills and is mainly done from home on the pc-so he's no bother.
So on my first free day in months I took myself off to town for a wander, didnt get much apart from a book and skirt from a charity shop and some seeds and grain to make a seeded loaf ,from the health shop.I've been using Allinsons seed and grain flour, which is lovely, but thought it might work out a bit cheaper buying the ingredients.
It felt pretty chilly out so I had beans on toast to warm me up when I got back, tea tonight is a mixed grill with jackets.
Sybil ,hope youre ok at the dentist, and after.
Halight, sorry to hear your news,I'm sure your positive attitude must help you though (((Hugs)))
Right the sun is trying hard to come out,so more digging in the garden for me.Take care folks x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hi all halight sorry to see your news,do try to see what you can achieve at the Drs. though.
My youngest DD is walking on the moon, I have managed to get us two nights in our favourite hotel in Amsterdam, and a couple of tickets to see her idols U2 in mid July. Her birthday isn't until 19th December but it is her 40th and she works so hard bless her with her tribe .It has cost an arm ,leg and probably most of what's left of me body, but it was worth it to see her face when it was all booked and sorted out .My eldest DD has sorted out flights from the City airport, and my pal in Dartford is going to srop us off at the station in Dartford first thing in the morning so we can get a train and DLR to the airport in under half an hour .The parking costs were HUGE and this way we only have around £12.00 each for train fares as opposed to over a hundred quid for two and a half days parking. So roll on 20th July, we went to see Robbie williams in 2006 in Amsterdam and had a brilliant time, the Arena is great and we have got some good seats as well.I shall probably come home without any hearing but it will be well worth it to see her enjoy herself. She always puts her husband and family first and never complains about not having any spare cash to treat herself with, she is 22 a carat gold bar and is the first to help other people out, so it will be nice to treat her for a change.
My washing dried beautifully on the line so tonight it will be ironed and hopefully put away .I never mind ironing, but I do hate putting stuff away for some reason I'm the same with shopping. Well off for some coffee folks
take care all

Halight - I hope that the doc has some positive news for you xx
Jackie - you truly are a wonderful lady! I love hearing the way you talk about your daughters, you are all blessed to have each other xx
As far as dinner is concerned I have decided it'll be sausages, mash, leeks and onion gravy. Desert may well be treacle tart - thanks to whoever posted about it, I love it and it's also one of dd3's faves!
Ten mins to browse then I'd better get moving again!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
