I've already tried that & as soon as you click on the links it says"website not available!!"

I did manage to book a room in Berlin last night but am now wondering if I will get it at the rate quoted or pay the normal rate - I didn't print the voucher off that you have to take with you when you check in as the printer was out of ink so was going to do that tomorrow - I can print off the email confirmation which say's Friends & Family, but don't know if they'll accept that. We shalll see in June!! I was going to stay at that hotel that night anyway & was expecting to pay around £65, so if I have to pay that instead of the £38 quoted last night, so be it.......!!

Anyone else booked any hotels through this? Is it a scam or is the site just inundated with people trying to book?!!

Just spotted the update on the page about hotels & it says the Hotel company are disabling the link at midnight - think they did it way before then - certainly not midnight UK time!

Hi guys,

Just to clear things up, this was not a scam. Employees were encouraged to share the discount, and we got confirmation from someone high up in IHG that the family & friends discount was legit for MoneySavers to use.

But yesterday the press office got in touch to say that from last night they would close the deal (I think they thought 3.5 million people was just taking it a bit far!).

The press office has confirmed that IHG will honour the special discount rate for any people who had already booked before midnight last night.

realy !!!!ed off by this "offer" as I was all set to book(still had the page up so could do this BUT the links were closed well before the stated time of midnight and as I had not printed the coupon I did not want to take the risk of having to pay double when i went to the hotel,they should have done as promised and kept open till midnight.now you say I could have booked:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: but what would have happened about the coupon,very unhappy about this

Thanks for the F&F link - I booked a hotel in the States for Oct and saved £100 against reservation I had on hold!Had to pre pay but with savings like that , not a problem
Looks like link has been taken down now- shame as I bet there will be empty hotel rooms across the globe-companies need to wake up to realise it is better to get 50% of price than nothing at all!

Many thanks Jenny - I just hope they will honour my booking though as I couldn't print the Voucher off - no ink left! I'll print the confirmation email to take with me but if anyone has a voucher if they could email me a copy I would be so grateful!:D

I've tried to access this offer but can't find any 'voucher' to fill in with the member of staff name.
Can anyone help please?
