Hi Horace-its in Wedding Ideas mag-small ad in the back and free charm bit in the readers offers section.
Grrrr-your ex is a total pain, hope he gets his !!!! in gear and sorts your car out for you0 -
Just retaken the photos I need to with the jewellery on a bit of white paper, hope they are ok coz its the best i can do!
On a different note, how long would you advertise with a magazine for to give it a fair chance for orders? It's ok I'm not expecting loads in the first month (1 would be nice though....) I've signed up for 6 months-do you think thats a fair go? It will cost £120 a month .0 -
I think that's a fair go although I wouldnt have signed up straight away for 6 months, I would have advertised once and then let them come to me with an offer - but thats just me as I am a tightwad:rotfl:
I havent been out at all today as I am still reading the Sunday papers from last week:eek: but I will go out later and stop off at the corner shop and pick up a copy. I like Wedding Ideas because it is not only cheap but packed full of useful information.
I hope my ex does sort himself out - I rang him earlier and it seems that his visitors basically said hi and bye as they went out to see the sights, I cannot believe that I offered to go down on the coach so that we could go out as a foursome tonight:eek: funny, I got the response "I am staying in bed today - I have no idea what their plans are" now bearing in mind he will put the phone down on me to take a call from this chap then I am sure he has a fair idea of what is going on - unless this chap isnt a chap if you get my drift:rolleyes: I was going down there in my posh gear too - bascially as a way of saying up yours:rotfl: Anyway I shall get some money out of him tomorrow, he is fixing my car and taking me shopping plus he will be charged for one overnight stay at £21.50 which is his allowance for staying over at a friend's:rotfl: Next stop is RAC membership I think:D0 -
Hi everyone! Not posted in this thread for a while as there's not that much to say really. Things aren't too great with my writing at the moment. I'm getting by but that's about it really and am currently working on some samples to try to branch out a bit and pick up some better-paid work (hopefully!).ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

I did get a discount for 6 months and another one when I increased the size of my advert so didn't do to badly!
Hmmm does sound a bit dodgy regarding the ex-perhaps the chap is a chapess.....or it is a chap and hes now batting for the other side.....??!!
Get your moneys worth out of him tomorrow Horace! Oh yes, and i've been meaning to ask for ages...why is your usename Horace? Don't answer if its personal.0 -
David - its not the way to do business getting things done on the cheap with friends as they will always let you down. You need a website that you can change yourself, I got mine through printing.com with free hosting for 12 months and free update centre for the same period - I know that they will charge me when that period has finished. There are other companies I am sure that will allow the same where you can update your site yourself.
thanks again horace for the advice
yep you live and learn. problem now i have is that ive paid up for a year as he does other websites etc and i cannot change anything on the website
ive sent some more texts etc to him to reply so hoping nothing seriously wrong
just another problem to work round
thanks again

Morning Everyone..
I found this offer on the small biz forum yesterday and thought it would be useful for all of us...
It's $100 of free Facebook Ads for registering with the visa business network.
If you take a look at the thread here..
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1884407
I registered last night and got my link for the ads.
I've heard mixed views on facebook advertising but if they will give you $100 for free then it's worth a shot.
You will need to register a Card with them - which is standard practice but once you've used your $100 you don't need to continue - unless you're finding that you are getting results.
Hope it helps some of you..0 -
Thanks Snow - I already use facebook and have a group on there and then I join loads of other groups in the US and here and put a linky to my website on there therefore it raises my profile and doesnt cost me anything.
David - instead of sending texts call him, send him a letter recorded delivery.
Mabel - Horace...well I used to have an Uncle Horace (he was really my great uncle) and my first car was called Horace. I also had trouble on a website once with a stalker who caused no end of problems for me - I tracked the b*tch down and discovered it was a work colleague and friend who I met for lunch once a week, the police were involved and all sorts. This girl was mentally unstable and made my life hell, I even left an adventure group that I was in because of her - she and one of her dodgy chums were sending me death threats so you can see it wasnt a particularly happy time for me. The police warned her and this friend of hers but that was it, even work were of no use as I submitted a grievance because she was even using the work IP address to send me threats and spread vicious rumours about me. She would even sign me up to !!!!!! sites and then I would get stacks of foul stuff through the post. I left the adventure group and changed my username several times to shake her off:rolleyes:0 -
My god horace thats awful-she should have been locked up. My username was the name of my car as well-strange!0

Yeah this person was a muppet by name and muppet by nature:rolleyes: Still I have the last laugh - she is stuck in a deadend job and I work for myself:cool:
Your deal sounds good mabel - I am waiting for chappie to come back (he has been out all day) then he can charge the battery and take me to the shops then I will be able to buy the mag as my local newsagent doesnt appear to sell it:rolleyes:
I have been very monday-ish today and have spent a large proportion of it watching junk tv and sleeping:rolleyes:0
