No you haven't upset me at all Horace! That's exactly what I need constructive criticism- it's nice for people to say it looks great but if there's something that doesn't look right I'd rather know!

Sorry you have been ill star - hope you're feeling better now?

Purple - tourists hate to open their wallets in case their pet moths escape:rolleyes:

As you may know I am regularly on facebook and recently had the nerve to ad a multi-millionaire business coach as a friend:rotfl: Brad Sugars is his name and his multi-million pound business is ActionCoach. Well he has posted this evening asking if any of his friends know of any great journalists/ghostwriters for several upcoming projects or even fulltime position. Now you must (and he stresses the word must) be experienced..if you are interested email janemoharich@actioncoach.com - mention Brad's facebook plea. I thought it might interest one of our lovely writers and it would be great if one of you got the job. Brad is currently on holiday in Mexico and I am not sure if he lives in the States now or still in Oz. Surely a ghostwriter can work from anywhere? Good luck peeps.

That sounds great-wish I could write! Speaking of which I must look into starting a blog on my site I suppose, can't think of any ideas though.
Have added my address to the site so thats one thing done. have now emailed weddingideas magazine about advertising 3 times with no reply so stuff them. am now looking into online wedding directories-anyone know of any good ones? would rather not have ones that want you to have a link to their site on your as I reckon people will end up going to other sites

I know that if you advertise with county wedding magazines they let you have a free section on their website. They will let you negotiate the price of their ads down as this is who I advertise with.

I don't think I know of any really good internet sites though as I have never had any business through them.

My morning's appointment was suddenly postponed so now I am all dressed up with nowhere to go (well not until this afternoon anyway). I have been productive and have used my FSB membership to set up a new free bank account with the CoOp. I have been promised a call this afternoon from the chap I was supposed to meet this morning - he had a last minute call to do some sound engineer work (lucky chap).

Instead of actually having a blog on your webpage - you could set up a link to a blog and have your blog on blogspot.com which is what I am doing, its easier than actually having a blog on the website.

I need to go out later so I shall go to Starbucks in Selfridges and use some of my LVs and then I shall go to my meeting at the printers. I am still wearing my posh clothes although it will be odd going to town on the bus when I am wearing a silk skirt:rolleyes: Anyway I am taking a risk as I have my diamonds on today so hope I dont get mugged (thankfully I haven't washed them in gin so they are a bit less sparkly), anyway its only stud earrings and a tiny pendant and my ruby and diamond ring.,,siometimes a girl needs to have a teensy bit of bling to go with her posh clothes.

Hi everyone - not been around lately as have actually got my head down and got on with some work! But its great to catch up with what everyone has been up to.

PurpleRoses - the good weather I think puts people off spending money! I notice this week of the month is usually a bit quieter anyway - credit card bills are in and most don't get their salaries till tomorrow or Monday. The schools stop here for the summer break tomorrow so hopefully lots of the kiddies will "guilty" their parents into parting with their cash!

Heres a dilema - a customer brought some goods in to be serviced - I sent them off to the manufacturer who offer this - got them back and returned them to customer but he rang and said a part was missing. I have rang them twice, explained what is missing but still have not received it. Their rep was in today and I refused to pay the bill until this was sorted. He has said they won't release the part (which is all of about 50p) until I pay the bill as it is from last month, yet my argument is it should never have come back from a service with bits missing! My customer is now waiting 10 weeks, which is ridiculous. Any ideas?

I have a busting sore head today and cannot get it shifted at all. A lie down in a dark room is needed!

That's a tough one TCM - as the part belongs to the customer and not to them I cannot see why they can get away with keeping it. Maybe you will have to bite the bullet and pay the bill but make sure you pay under protest and whilst you are at it send a letter to the MD to highlight the shoddy service.
    .
I am back from town - I have sore feet because it is so hot and sticky. I looked fab - its amazing what some new clothes does for your confidence (these are the clothes that I splurged on at Easter). I treated myself to lunch, I was going to spend my LVs but fancied a steak sandwich so went to a different restaurant within Selfridges.

My meeting this morning was cancelled so I spent my time applying for a new bank account with the coop. I went to the printers too and have ordered a shiny new website - there is one thing that I don't like and that is the fact that they don't do POP3 accounts so the email will have to point to my email at home which makes things tricky when I need to send emails but hey ho that is a small price to pay especially as now I will be able to have a bettr website and will be able to change it myself:j

Oh and I had my Class 2 NI exemption certificate come through so now I dont need to pay NI til 2012 (although I will no doubt be earning enough by then to be able to pay it).:j

You should be able to get a better solution than that - I've got a fastmail.fm email account, which is a webmail account, and from that you can send emails as if from a different address. So you could get your website emails forwarded to the fastmail address, but set it up so that when you replyfrom your fastmail account it looks as if it has come from the website address. I paid about £20 for a full account for a year.

Gosh, its a hot and sticky day today..my brain is like treacle:rolleyes:

I had to ring the Post Office today as my car is insured with them (naughty me hadnt changed my address:rolleyes:) so I thought I had better let them know that my address has changed. Well, I am glad I phoned them because my car will be insured from July with them for business use as well - it has cost me £236.48 which is cheaper than the quote I got via FSB so that insurer has been told I won't be taking out insurance with them:D

When the weather improves and my brain is more awake I will take a look at fastmail.fm and see if I can't get my head around it.
