Well this morning I had 5 firemen all to myself which was lovely and when they left our community policeman came to bring us some confiscated alcohol and brought 6 colleagues along for a coffee and bacon butty, so I have been well and truly spoilt today by the men in uniform:D :D

My oldies haven't done too bad either - 5 bottles vodka, 3 bottles wine, 10 large wkd, 3 large ciders and three cases of stella - all confiscated from kids on the streets - who says the youth of today don't help the oldies:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Will be plenty for their next few parties:D

There's something about the police bringing confiscated alcohol along to oldies just cheers me up! As long as your oldies don't start wandering the streets and scaring the carp out of the local community! Who'd get the alcohol then? (I've got an image of oldies in hoodies!:rotfl: )

    Hi Bobbadog

Hopefully I can help as I was doing some research yesterday on just this subject!

Robert Dyas is doing 3+1 (4) for £9.99 with 2.99 delivery. Surprise surprise - they are out of stock! My local store have 6 for £16.99.

On Ebay I found 6 for £18.35 (with postage).

    Hope this helps.

Thank you Urg! Tesco DID have 6 for £14.99 but think they've long gone, will have a looksie when I do the big shop :) xx

First time posting on this thread - Howdy peeps!

Today I have so far been a good girl and checked my bank account, checked for any available surveys and checked my email for any freelance work that's available (all of the above were disappointing).

Although tonight is where the real work begins. I shall be ringing my mobile provider, internet provider, car insurance peeps and breakdown peeps and asking precisely what date I can cancel my contracts. I know it's the summer, but I don't want to go a day over when there are such shiny deals to be had!!

Have a good day everyone xx

  • Hi All :hello:

Tallied - you suggested yesterday putting on an SOA again. I am moving in with my boyfriend next month and we are going to write every bit of money that comes out for bills etc, so when I have done this for a few months I will put a new SOA on - thanks

    Today:
    Free scratches - 2 x 10p
Bought in lunch but did buy a kitkat
Pay my credit card as couldn't do it yesterday
    Check bank
    Wash clothes on 30
Iron for the rest of the week as much as poss
Sort more out in room and start packing for moving (didn't so this yesterday)
Fill up the car slowly and drive economically
    Surveys
    Clicks
Post book sold on Amazon as didn't do this yesterday - how annoying. I actually made nothing from this! I didn't make a profit or loss! I am getting £1.41 from Amazon for this, they took half what I should have got in fees and it cost £1.41 to post! The only bit I did make was 1p because they didn't have the right change so just gave me 60p instead of 59p, what a waste of time! How do people make an earning from selling loads of books for 1p?! Thought i'd try it to see how it goes, but I won't be doing it again!
Pack stuff to send to Music Magpie
    Competitions
Transfer MS tax money to other account
Check confessions of a shopaholic viewing times for Orange Wednesdays and organise with the girls if I am not called into the restaurant
Check registered online for tax return
    Apply for jobs

Does anyone know any good sites where I can look for creative jobs that are either in an office or not? I want to do something completely different, maybe something like in a floristry or something.

Pmsl at this! (which really hurts, trust me!)

Piq - I truly hope to be back to normal (or as normal as can be ;) ) soon. I hate being ill and this is really getting me down.

Fay - think you're right. Certainly feels like tonsilitis. Had it loads when I was younger which is why they whipped me tonsils out.

Mogchops - SO pleased to hear about your job! :j

Well, managed to get my Mrs Mop job done although now feel like death warmed up. Good thing is though that I had completely forgotton that my SIL had forgotton to leave me my money last week.....so I had double this week! Wahey! She also left me a furry Giraffe bookmark. Very cute. Said she saw it and thought of me.( I love giraffes). Bless her.
