  • Thanks mrscmr. :)

I'd get ready for the rush if it goes ahead because when they are cash buyer the speed it can go will make your head spin!

Only found out two days ago that I have to move out this weekend. And they solicitors asked on Monday to complete this Friday. Begged an extra day but I shouldn't be reading posts on here but packing furiously. I'm just still in a lovely state of shock.

All the best to you and hope you'll get your fresh start soon. ;)

Good gracious, that's a bit of a rush.

MrsCMR, I hope you sale goes well too, but not quite such a rush. If your buyers are in rented accommodation, they'll have to give notice or may have to finish a fixed term tenancy.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

does anyone have one of the british gas energy consumption monitors? they plug in and tell you how much you are spending on electricity. we have had one for a week and its eye opening! we love it when it says 2p an hour :) we dont love it when it says 91p!!!! an hour! historically our energy bills are massive.. however the kids are really gettting into this and actually switching things off.
you can get them on the british gas and eon websites i think.

Turn everything off at the wall socket - not just the appliance. We save £50 per quarter just by turning everything off at the plug, even the internet. We now only throw the socket switch for the internet when we need to use it, same with TV etc. The electricity is still going into the appliance if you leave it switched on at the wall socket.
