    Keep going, guys - it will happen. As someone who is coming out of the other end of the process, I can honestly say that it is worth the effort you are all putting in now. It is worth the "going without" and scrimping and saving in order to get that debt down.

    And one of the best things, is that along the way I have learned so much about what is "really" important to me and to my children - and yes, some of it is "superficial" but it means that the choices we make when we are debt free will be the right choices, not just a knee jerk reaction that will take us right back to square one.

    So, as beanie says, keep plodding!

    actually just been looking through my library of spreadsheets which i use to track debt.. and on 23 dec 2009 we owed 150K on credit and loans and now its 116k so thats 34k paid off on credit and loans in 1 year... surely thats impressive and shows we have locked down the hatches and running a tight ship.. so tight infact it squeeks most of the time which is a little painful to say the least.
