quick up date then i off to bed.

house has a great chunk of equity ... but thats not the reason... if we sell uk house then we clear uk mortgage and all our debts... leaving us with income in cyprus and small mortgage and money left over... OH has been asked to stay where he is perm and wants us all to go... i am happy for various reasons to do this and excited to be free of debt. cyprus house mortgage in swiss francs and nothing moving on that one... so ... happy to look at other options...

yes FC123 ... spending much much reduced... could do more... but u know... how it is! had a better week this week and not really dep at all... maybe just overwhelmed! xxx

I understand....relocating so you can all be together sounds like the bestest plan....with the handy bonus of wiping out the debt too.
Will the kids go too or board?

If the job's perm the whole living apart must be really difficult too...we have done it for nearly a year (and I only have 1 teen at home to run around after) and in 2 weeks time, back together again F/T.

I will keep fingers crossed on the sale......are you going to do your own research into current Land Registry figs? Then you will have a good idea on how much it will achieve as some EA's get up to sneakys. Best get it on the marlet at a good price to sell so it doesn't hang around for months.
The house selling board is great for advice too.

Worst case is to rent it out whilst you live abroad...we did that with ours for 3 years and wasn't too bad....but you can cross that bridge if a sale doesn't happen.
Glad you aren't feeling so Dep now too.;)

    I'm confused!

I subscribed to this thread ages ago and have finally got round to reading it from the beginning. I found it really inspiring and moving. I really felt for mrscmr, especially when she was considering a DMP and was impressed at her resolve to get things sorted.

Now I have got to the end of the thread and read the house can be sold to pay off everything and still have money left over- have I missed something??
