Hi - I have a wireless one. You attach part to the elec meter box and then I have a wireless reader sat in the hall. It tells me how many units/pence I am using. I can input an average electricity price (program it) - it will then tell me how much my bill is likely to be.

I use it to work out how much different items use in electricity and a) try to minimise use and b) learn to turn things off! So my DD's leaves her 4 halogen bulbs burning while she's out that's 4p just there - turn it off. My landing upstairs is 5p etc.... My OH uses 2 computer screens and leaves his computer running when he's not there - it shows up the cost of that and encourages us to turn them off....The oven should be used for multiple products at once rather than in a series.....

Hope that helps... If you know someone that has one - perhaps you could borrow one for a week or two it might be enough to kick start better habits?

SH - thats great! my dad is going to let me have one!

soo today whilst waiting at school pick up i took a long, critical look at my face in the mirror... omg omg omg. didnt like what was in front of me :-(

When i had money i used to take good care of self but ... i reckon i need to sort out the following:

    1. eyebrows - i could be related to dennis healey... remember him?
    2. spotty skin, dull and podgy - havent had a facial in a long long long time
    3. and this is the horrifying one... i think, just think i have a MOSTACHE growing. NOOOOOOO NOOOOOO omg someone help me! i am turning in to my mother.
    4. wrinkles - i used to have botox ... that is a miracle.. dont care its rat poison. dont care it hurts.
    5. saw other mother at school gate... with eyelash extensions... omg omg omg OMG lush or what! i WANT them NOW!

so later ..... much later [after my medication has begun to work]

I say to OH later - i look at self in mirror and u wont believe it ... i have a mostache growing....... and u know what he say????? he say very quietly....

  • Wax strips. 99p. Wilkos. They work! Asprin face mask. 16p. A marvel!

Eyelash extnsions not good long term anyway, but am having them before I go to Paris -one off special treat. However I know a few people here ewho do them with good result for £50, instaed of the up to £300-ish London salons can charge...worth asking around?

Fillers last much much longer than botox - about 3 years in my case, and counting...mind you it was just a little line, but maybe save up? When have done in my RBS debt, am thinking of having just a little more.....before embarking on the Egg debt, natch

    Anyway, you're beautiful

  • Hey mrscmr,

I too am having time from hell.

I will be miserable with you.

Even in my heyday of spending I didn't even have any treatments, though always had lots of nice bathing stuff, so look awful but smelt gorgeous!
