hi happytobe... 25 is too young to be depressed! as for planning for a family .. if we waited and planned till we could afford babies then we would never have any! chin up! you are doing really well. when i was 25 i was a complete nightmare... had the bank manager cut up my credit cards in front of me ... soooo ashamed. unfortunately i never learnt the value of money!

morning all
well what is it with these lowlife people who try to scam you on autotrader? we are selling a car, so we advertise it, bearing in mind we have already lost this car once to a complete idiot with a fake bankers draft, but got the car back. people continually emailing saying.. we want the car, what is your best price, you must pay shipping blah blah. !!!!!! - they are fake - not real, cant even spell in their emails, why do people think that they can do this and get away with it? just makes me angry!!!!!
AAAGGGRRRRR!!!
ok im calm

evening mrs cmr I'm ok today a little perkier I gave into the call of Cambridge and am sole sourcing LOL x I've been thinking and once wedding is cleared il maybe save for land deposit after all it's no good for me getting debt free and having no savings to move. The majority of our things complete in 2012 so it's just a few credit card juggles etc anyway I will type later I'm tired night night x xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. Hi Mrs M,
Just wanted to say thanks for the Ebay info. I don't think I have anything that good but I might try a car boot and see how I get on.
Good luck with the car and keep thinking serene thoughts! I've heard a few stories about scams here in Dublin with fake bank drafts, you can't be too careful it seems.Trying to spend less time on MSE so I can get more done ... it's not going great so far!
Sorry if I don't reply to posts - I'm having MAJOR trouble keeping up these days!

Hi,
Read your post from beginning to end tonight - hence the loony tunes time. Contract work is completely dead in Scotland too so like you I'm looking to carve out what I can (ebay) and reduce all round spending.
You're doing an amazing job financially, but your attitude is mind-blowing - you're cool, calm, collected and I'm a celtic nightmare! I'll keep looking in if I may and hope some of that sanguine nature rubs off. :rotfl::A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. morning all regular viewers and new ones espcially kissjenn and nuala
well its a reasonable in my world. being very proactive - no proper paid work but some massive ebay hunting in cupboards this morning.. my goodness what treasures i have found! things brand new never opened 0h im so ashamed!!! :-)
joined the discount club at the dry cleaners.. ha ha i know how to have a good time!
OH informs me that he and his fellow dirs are closing down his company well potentially and this means he will start a new one - not really sure of his plan on that but major crisis if this happens as then NO INCOME - ha ha our outgoings are 6K a month - i might be selling a kidney soon.
i must do a recalc on my debts to see what has been reduced. car wont sell - we are not putting any cheaper - just wont sell. um seem to have enormous ironing to do - dont know how that happend. child #2 has worked so hard at school and is having an after school treat today a hot choc in town with just me.
anyway hope u all well and doing ur thing!
@kissjenn - amazing if you think im calm, cool - ah if only u knew the truth... but thanks for ur kind wordsx
bye for now!

Hi MrsC - hope things work out with your OH's job. Has he done his expenses yet?
Also I understand the desire to repay debt - but is it worth creating an emergency fund if your OH's job is looking dodgy?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
