Hi MrsC if you are paying more than the minimum payments - a big if I know - then could you redirect some money into a savings account?
Glad you got your expenses paid!
Well you asked so please excuse the rants that follow....
I am shattered as I only found out I had an interview for first thing this morning - yesterday afternoon.... Wouldn't have been so difficult but helped friend with packing boxes in the morning, followed by tidying up the house for MIL's visit and then MIL's visit. I found out I hadn't got the job I wanted about 10 minutes before she arrived. I then went awandering for an hour! We then had tea out. She didn't leave until after 8pm. I then went to the shop to destress - only grocery shop - still on the wagon...
I finally got round to reading about the company at about 10.30pm last night plus printing off directions etc. I then still had to find my interview stuff etc... I like to allow 2 hours for an interview journey just in case things go wrong - I also woke up early at 6.15 having gone to bed at 12.15! I had to have a strong coffee just before my interview to be awake enough!
I am really annoyed about the job I didn't get - as I got the best marks - and it appears to have been a total fix  as they gave the job to the internal candidate! If I get the job I went for today tho - I would potentially find out tomorrow. OH doesn't want me to take it even if it is offered as it isn't paying enough but since even if it was 6 months it would mean I could potentially pay off over £7K - I don't completely understand his attitude!
Bye for now - good luck!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

hi there happytbe.. hmm its a tricky one im not the person best qualified to say yes save and not pay off debt as i am always more than happy to buy stuff instead of save. right now im focused on paying and reducing our enourmous debt as thats the only option left open to us. i think its a good time to buy a house if u have nothing to sell though.
soorrry not much help here. maybe make a new thread and ask for more informed opinions instead of someone with cotton wool for a brain! xx
have gd evening im watching katie and peter - v sad they have split.

congrats getting the expenses thru. I think there is now indisputable proof that men and women have brains wired in completely different ways. We go around switching it all off and there they are 6 steps behind sticking it all back on again.
Still onwards and upwards and best of luck with the Lego - we've literally crates of it - 15 at last count - OH and DS have a rapid racking system. If I even squinted at it sideways for ebay it would be RIP Kissjenn
