  • Hi Mrs cmr,

Just finished reading and catching up with your diary. Just wanted to say keep your chin up, you can do this. I think you are an amazing person for having the strength and courage throughout this difficult time. Things will get better, you can do it.

    Take care

um hello... [peeps out from her cave of despair]

    i still alive!
i just want to say thanks to gingababe, moneyfritter,will1, happytoget, gina, SH, dDraig, Wos, millionaire, dawny, thank you so much for being around at this dreadful time. it really cheers me up - just knowing u r out there.

if i left anyone out - sorry :-S

well where are we today? several things, i am no longer hysterical [way past that], no longer crying [done that several days in a row], OH will be in work by thursday - vowing to keep head down and be the very bestest hard working person in the history of employment. cost us a bit but its done.

havent picked up laptop - but need to. gonna do a new set of spreadsheets - with a new fresh look at them. got to get some employment though. thinking of ideas what what to.

only bad thing [like i need another one!] been away most of night thinking what happens if OH dies? well we rely completely on his income - what happens then? does the mortgage get paid off? we have some life insurance but not a huge amount. what would happen? as you can tell - my mind is wizzing round at the speed of light -hence complete drivel coming out but still what would we do?

i must try really hard to buck my self up and get back on track.
    im trying really.

dont know what to do for the best ... just work hard and get a grip i guess :-(

At least you've only washed his passport MrsC. Could be far far worse. For instance you could have an OH who is stuck in a hotel in Belgium with a wallet full of credit cards which he can't use and a staggering 17 euros in change to see him through the week. Completely his own fault for having a memory like a sieve and not being able to remember his pin numbers. He gets round this by keeping them in encrypted form somewhere safe only he made it to Belgium and they didn't. Several phone calls later head office have paid for his hotel over the phone and authorised the hotel to hand over cash for spending money to be deducted from his expenses. Obviously being a big company this didn't happen until day 4 of a 5 day stay.

Unfortunately he keeps the keys to the 3 locks on his super secure suitcase in the same place. No prizes for guessing what happened or at least what would have happened if he'd remembered to lock the thing in the first place.

These things happen to the best of us. They're usually stupid mistakes and they end up costing a fortune. I've previously washed a biro thus turning 16 monogrammed uniform shirts splotchy so OH couldn't take his jumper off in public for 9 months till the next uniform issue came through. The following year I shrank both his lambswool uniform jumpers so he had to wear a coat over his shirt all winter.

OH isn't going to die anytime soon!

UK mortgages require you to have sufficient life insurance to clear them should you die.

moomoo... thank u for ur post... shows im not alone! i feel soo stupid though. it seems to me the harder i try to be superwoman the more i fail. currently thinking that im a really bad mother, and that everyone at the kids school secretly hates me and thinks im odd. i look at other peoples lives and think - gosh their lives soo perfect and mines is just held together by flaky bits of string. what do i do so wrong? have a been so bad in the past that some one out there is punishing me? sorry - bit depressed currently - need kick up the bum.
