Hi all quick question, GAP bookie jobs, do you have to do these alone?

A huge majority of MS jobs have to be done alone, this one included it seems. Unless it states of a dining out assignment where I seen it specifically state you can bring someone along.

Well I'm back in the world of the living - hobbling a bit on the crutches but not too bad. Had a bit of a reaction to the morphine - apparently I'm quite sensitive - hah - they obviously don't know me lol

Anyway have just managed to bag 3 GAP bookie jobs. I've got no problem asking to use the loo - I've always found them really clean - as someone just said - the ladies probably doesn't get used very often. To kill time I always put a £1 in the roulette machine. I usually win £1.80 back which takes me to the next shop.

Oh and got a query on the RE sports shop job whilst I was in the hospital. Explained where I was but answered the query anyway as it was a quick one. Got home and checked my e-mails and had another query which was very similiar to the first. I couldn't help it and had to mention that considering there was no fee for this job the client was asking a lot of questions - have not heard from them since!!! Have also booked three RE pharmacy jobs as they are near me and are all in the same area - so if anyone wants the tablets please let me know lol.

Oh and whilst I remember I've got a few jobs on in a fortnight for ABAi - the department store ones (Twiggy and Mylene come to mind).
There was also another job in the other department store. I e-mailed to say that as I was carrying out an assignment at one store would it be possible to arrange it so I could do the other assignment on the same day. She agreed, no problem. So even though it does say 2 days, drop them an e-mail if you want to do it on another date. As long as you can guarantee you will do it they should be OK.

Anyway I'm off back to my sofa. Been making cards and entering competitions as can't do much else. DH has been brill though and has been looking after me. For those of you who remember though - I don't relax very well - I was still MSing days before my baby was born!!! x

I didn't know they did the Twiggy dept stores? I've tried on that nl/xxxxx link but no such luck in registering for it so far.

The only people you can't take into the bookies are children under 18 (hence why I have to find someone to look after the baby whilst I go!!). Unless a brief specifically says you can't take anyone with you assume you can. There is a phone job on GFK where you can't take anyone and children can't go with you to pub jobs on TNS but that's all I can think of off the top of my head. HTH.

Also, Josie are you around? Did you grab the Boro ones as I noticed they vanished in the blink of an eye???!!!!

Boro bookies wasn't us, left those up there and went for the coastal ones, however my OH did get a couple of the travel agents on Teesside, don't think he got a Boro one though.

Hi, I have a question re GR - I have been a member since February but have had nothing from them. Is this normal ?

Also, quick question re tax. I registered as a MS end of February with a few companies but have just done my first job today. Does the 3 months I have to register as self employed start from receipt of 1st payment of the day I registered to do MS ? I am now employed part time so will the self employed part be totally separate from my employment ie does my employer need to know about the MS side of things ?

    Thanks.

Hi can anyone help with the above ? Thanks

You need to be referred. If you PM me your full name, email address, and areas you can cover, I will send your details off to ABAi.

Thanks GJ thats really helpful esp as you are female. Another quick question, how long is the questionaire ?

I haven't done one for a while, but off the top of my head I think it's only 10 minutes or so - typical Gap questionaire, mostly tickboxes, yay! It's an okay fee for the time it actually takes you to do it, under half an hour including the time you spend in the shop. I'd defo recommend them to any girlies who're a bit apprehensive about them - I was at first too, thinking that all the men would stare at me (I'm 22, so fairly young as well as being a girl) - but they didnt even look up from their TV screens :rotfl:I didn't know where anything was, or even how to fill out the betting slip at first - so I just played the girly card and told them I was putting the bet on for my grandad, so could they check I'd done it right :p I've done 3 or 4 now, and always found the staff to be lovely and helpful!
