LOL :-) To fuuny Jdan, its not the using them as like u say there is no need. Like Scat said its the "look at me I'm a Mystery shopper" but then again its not the first time I've had do something where you end up looking suspect. I guess its once you do 1, you get over it. If i see my local one, i'll give it a go.0

I've found the 'facilities' at the bookies aren't that bad, and is a handy way to use up some of 15 minutes that you need to spend in the place, making notes on your visit so far. There was one that was really bad, was out of there in a second, but usually have been better than petrol station ones.0

It is actually one of the useful things I've learned through MSing, that normally bookies have a reasonably clean toilet. They're all over the place too and are usually better than public ones!Happy New Year :beer:0

Yay just nabbed myself a Gap bookie job
I'm a girl and dont mind asking to use the toilet in them either - the female toilets are usually really clean, at least in the ones I've done so far. The only thing I struggle with is actually spending 15 minutes in the shop - I think it's quite hard to do that. I usually spend 5 minutes filling out my betting slips and placing the bet, 4 or 5 minutes in the toilet and then the other 5 minutes I just have to pretend to watch one of the races on the telly - but I feel a bit daft doing that, as I am trying to take sneaky glances around at the same time to see how clean it is!

I'm a little apprehensive about the bookie visits too. I think it's the 'being a girl' thing. I'm gonna bit the bullet and book one. Once I've done one I'll be alright!! Me thinks....0

I'm a girl, and felt similarly apprehensive before my first one, but I have found them to be fine. In fact the main client ones, they have been really nice and friendly, and I haven't felt uncomfortable. The competitor ones have not been quite so nice inside, but I haven't felt out of place and the other customers just ignore you on the whole.
A tip to use up some of the time, if they ask if you have a loyalty card, give them a chance to explain it fully to you, a few minutes can just fly by then.0 -

Well I'm back in the world of the living - hobbling a bit on the crutches but not too bad. Had a bit of a reaction to the morphine - apparently I'm quite sensitive - hah - they obviously don't know me lol
Anyway have just managed to bag 3 GAP bookie jobs. I've got no problem asking to use the loo - I've always found them really clean - as someone just said - the ladies probably doesn't get used very often. To kill time I always put a £1 in the roulette machine. I usually win £1.80 back which takes me to the next shop.
Oh and got a query on the RE sports shop job whilst I was in the hospital. Explained where I was but answered the query anyway as it was a quick one. Got home and checked my e-mails and had another query which was very similiar to the first. I couldn't help it and had to mention that considering there was no fee for this job the client was asking a lot of questions - have not heard from them since!!! Have also booked three RE pharmacy jobs as they are near me and are all in the same area - so if anyone wants the tablets please let me know lol.
Oh and whilst I remember I've got a few jobs on in a fortnight for ABAi - the department store ones (Twiggy and Mylene come to mind). There was also another job in the other department store. I e-mailed to say that as I was carrying out an assignment at one store would it be possible to arrange it so I could do the other assignment on the same day. She agreed, no problem. So even though it does say 2 days, drop them an e-mail if you want to do it on another date. As long as you can guarantee you will do it they should be OK.
Anyway I'm off back to my sofa. Been making cards and entering competitions as can't do much else. DH has been brill though and has been looking after me. For those of you who remember though - I don't relax very well - I was still MSing days before my baby was born!!! x0
