I know this will have been mentioned countless times before. However, I feel the need to rant about it again.

Why-oh-why must MS companies insist that we get a receipt for jobs like burgers and pizzas? I did a pizza assignment today for Gap. An express pizza assignment. The moment I mentioned a receipt the service went sky high in terms of performance. Kerching! Mystery shopper - must be nice to them!

Hardly reflective of day-to-day service now is it? Do these companies want accurate reports of their staff? Or just proof that we conducted the visit like we said we did? (Sod the fact that there were countless CCTV cameras beaming down on me and my providing left and right info).

    Rant over!

my oh always asks for a reciept in these places as he is self employed and needs them for his books and he never gets the special treatment. i used to work in accounts deptartment dealing with expenses claims and loads of people had reciepts for fast food. we aren;t the only ones getting reciepts!!

i use to work at the chicken shop and loads of people ask for reciepts. to be honest i don't think anyone there put reciepts and mystery shoppers together! i worked there for three years and it was never mentioned.

i have had the special treatment on plenty of occasions. i have never been in one of these places on my own before ms though, so maybe they are nice to everyone on their own - just in case!!

i think the receipt is to prove exactly what you purchased and how much it cost, as well as the time you entered the store (assuming the clock on the till is correct ).

So it must mean that GAPburger places know that the MSer is coming on Xday between XXam and XXpm - so when someone does ask for a receipt, they turn on the cabaret. Someone asking for a receipt 10 minutes before or after the slot will not get the treatment....

    What a mess!

    It's a fair cop guv.

I have both threads open, and I wrote it into the wrong window. Then spoke with a colleague for a bit, then refreshed the "chat2 window and my post wasn't there, then the penny dropped.

At least it was a "sort of alert" and not totally random rumblings! AND I realised my mistake, AND....oh sod it, I'll stop digging...

I agree - the best thing about them is their interactive reporting, IMO. If the question says "did they smile, if not, what did they do" and you select "yes", then the comments field disappears! Having said that, I don't think GFK actually ask silly questions so they wouldn't expect a comment on that I guess...

It's so gratifying to see the box disappear :D
