Who nicked the higher class electrical shop that I was just accepting!

The first assignment I see in a week and I'm beaten to it by a second!!!

I spoke to a lovely lady at RE today and she said they are also miffed at the website and she advised me to email the address already given on here to complain! She also said they are now starting to limit the amount if jobs people can accept in total as they've got too many shoppers for the amount of jobs that are available. I did say this was a little wrong as they shouldn't have employed people if there were no jobs! She said this would mean a limit to the total jobs you can have in a month and how many of each client you will be allowed.

Limiting the jobs is no different to how TNS operate. With the supermarket you can't reshop within a certain number of months and are limited to how many jobs you can have from each round.

Surely they are in control of how many people they recruit & from which areas though:confused:

I have no issue with the way TNS run as they make it clear that you cannot shop at the same location within 3 months but you can pick up a few of the same client. What RE are doing is changing the rules and not letting people know which is unfair. Also the only reason they are doing this is because they've recruited too many people.

I agree that the recruiting is entirely in their control and surely they could see that there were too many people for the amount of jobs.

Ah, well. On a more positive note I managed to bag a job with grassroots! :j

It seems like they just accept anyone who applies, regardless of where they are based...

Also TNS mostly pay a decent fee for the job you are doing.

I know we all have the choice to accept the assignments.

everyone i have ever recommended to re have been accepted without question. usually they can accept a job as soon as they have filled in their details.

they are not fussy!! i sometimes wonder what kind of reports get submitted by people who can't really be bothered. i try to do my best on each report but i bet they get some real rubbish!

a question about the bare flights please- if i am not being able to travel any longer will bare let me cancel the visit? also, if they do let me cancel it will they penalise me by not offering future visits?? any suggestions PLEASE!

Well they can't make you go and as you have not had to outlay any money you will not lose anything

However I'm sure they'll not be impressed! TBHO if you do cancel I doubt they'd offer you another one.

The ticket is an "award" type so in theory it didn't cost BARE or the airline much if any money.

BTW I did PM you earlier but you did not respond.

    Why can't you go?

the flight i am interested in costs at least a grand so i cant afford to take someone else with me. i know someone in that country that i can meet up with but im still not 100% sure in my head. partner has told me its fine and to go but im not sure. i had been looking for a cheap cruise (ive been saving for one) for 3 days in LA or NY as I could do that on arrival and then id be ok but then you get the single supplement charges and basically pay for two people  so im not sure what to do but it seems like such a great opportunity.

I wrote a brief "How to" post in the previous thread.

    Have you travelled abroad\alone before?

It's fairly easy, you just need to be organised to enjoy the trip.

Getting selected would be the hardest part!

These jobs will cost you money  but if you get the chance to travel First class then go for it.
  • Hi all

I am doing my first pizza job tonight for Gap , a collection one , I know I must buy one only and the other item mentioned and I know I can buy a drink and not be reimbursed BUT can I take advantage of one of the meal deals where you get one pizza , plus 2 other items .... ? Sorry if I am being dumb , I have looked through the brief and from what I can see I wont get penalised but just wanted to check ....

    Thanks in advance.
