What a day. There is a guy in my work who has a bee in his bonnet because he thinks i should report to him - but i dont so he went out of his way to make my life a misery today......whats worse is hes been setting me up for a fall on this for weeks but i didnt know!
An important meeting was supposed to be today but it was cancelled when i was off on holiday and no-one thought to tell me!!! I urgently needed the info, which i should have been able to get today, along with software, which i needed to report to the director tomorrow - and he knew - then kept hassling me about when was i gonna find the time to sort it all before tomorrow!!! what was i gonna do about it??
I have never before wanted to staple someones bottom lip to their eyebrows, but he nearly got it!
thats why i went and cleaned my car at lunchtime - i had to leave the office.
So i was late getting away from work (not late late - but later than i wanted to be! ) and then low and behold the M4 was shut as a lorry jack-knifed so the whole area was just a shambles!
I got home at 7pm - littley had to get picked up from afterschool club by a neighbour. Thankfully tea was in the SC so ready to go - but i cant hack flying tonight, im physically and mentally drained.
I might declutter some of the junk boxes while watching tv - or some of my drawers in the bedroom, but that will be as strenuious as it gets for me tonight.
PS - for those with sleeping problems - me too......for years. Getting to the bottom of it now and starting to get back on track. I still dont ever sleep all the way through and disturbing dreams (either odd/freaky or frightening) and less frequent. You can PM me if you want someone to talk to. I do know how you feel.
Lots of love n hugs for everyone - especially Embb and Lady Liberty.
Think everyone needs some hugs - I know I do today! Even though im tired and run down today - the black dog isnt really lurking - what a difference the sunshine makes.....bring on the summer!! xxx
ETA - Philb - remember only the inside of the windows need to be done to get your star! You dont need to do the outside too - so grab that window cleaner and give the kitchen window a quick wipe!! Then we can all celebrate your first star!!! Your doing so well!! (ps: I hate doing my kitchen window, cos im too short to reach over the unit to do it, so i have to climb on the worktops and balance over the sink and draining board.......rofl - thats why mine isnt done yet!!)Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Hugs Jo, hope you manage to get everything sorted out for tomorrow. Perhaps you should tell the director what has happened. Who is your boss? Can you tell them about what this other guy is doing? Do you have any friends at work that you can vent to?
Big hugs to you, hope things get sorted."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Thanks, got what i needed for my meeting at 9 tomorrow which is fine - my boss is aware so thats all ok and the result is that the idiot is going to have to pick up some of the work on my behalf now as I cant be everywhere at once, and ive been asked to attend the meeting by the director - and he hasnt. So in a way, its backfired on him - so serves him right.
No, no one else to rant to - so you lot are getting it!!! Sorry
Anyway, Hex - a bath sounds fab, but id fall asleep and wake up with a mouthful of bubblesI cant remember what time i woke up this morning, i stop checking. If the alarm hasnt gone of i lie with my eyes shut and pretend im sleeping - trains the body to do what it should be doing apparently!!

Serves him right Jo. Glad it has back fired on him.
At the course yesterday we looked at sleeping problems and one piece of advice was not to look at the clock when you wake up but just to rely on the alarm- if you look at the clock you start thinking only xx hours until I have to get up. We also looked at sleep patterns and apparently everyone wakes up 3 or 4 times a night but we don't remember it unless you wake up during the REM stage- (not sure if that is right but heh that is what I was told.)Divorce all finished- now to start saving for a better future!0 -
soappie - thanks
Sorry for moaning all the time it's just really hard at the moment. I think part of the problem is that I'm probably in a job a level or two below what I could be but there's nowhere to go just now... I like to use my brain and I feel very de-skilled/ like I'm not appreciated for what I can offer. My mum and sister are coming down and we're staying up in london for a girlie coulple of days - lots of coffee drinking, chatting, wandering etc I think. Think we'll go on a boat on the thames on Fri and get on and off a bit. Am busy looking at my 'London for free' book which was free with the paper yesterday for things to do! My sister is pregnant (due early June) so I want to make sure it's not too tiring for her!

Rach - i know how you feel. Openings elsewhere are not in abundance at the minute!
We did that in London, took the boat up the thames, we got off in Greenwich and had a picnic in the park - maybe you could do something like that......fun, girly and keeps the cost down xxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying
