Welcome new people
Busy day at work today. We have Users coming in tomorrow. (Users are a strange breed of people who like to cause disruption) so we've spent the day checking and double checking that everything's ready for them. I need to get in v. early (abt 07:30 which means leaving about 06:35  )tomorrow morning for final polishing of stuff before they turn up at 9:00. So, I'll be having an early night!
Took the dog to the vets this evening. This was after a mad dash home, having left work a little later than normal and finding roads blocked because of an accident - I was Soappie at her most decisive - did a 3 point turn on a dual carriage way (perfectly safely, nothing coming the other way) and winged through country roads using my inbuilt sense of direction which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
Dashed in, picked the dog up, put her in the back of the car, gesticulated rather rudely at the oik from the garage round the corner who not only had 5 cars parked up on the double yellows, but was also standing in the middle of the road holding up the traffic so that they could get another out and park it up illegally beside the others. But, we made it to the vet in time.
We saw a different person at the vets this evening who said that she thought it was benign because it was all on the surface rather than underneath which is heartening. But agreed it would be best to have it taken off and sent away for analysis if only to stop us owners fretting!
So, Beffy-Boo goes in for surgery on Thursday. All being well, I'll pick her up Thursday night after work. I've arranged to take Friday off so I can be with her Fri, Sat, Sun. DS is taking Monday off work so that'll be a fourth day she'll have someone to keep an eye on her all day if she's a bit wobbly.
Gawd, having a dog is just as bad as having children - what with the worry 'n all.
But, I am making full use of Friday off and have arranged my annual boiler service for that day. It'll be a worrying time (I'm a born worrier underneath) but at least questions will be answered and we can move on.
Now I'm off to fly in the kitchen.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
