cooking question - yes I know its the wrong thread but I hardly ever get answers over there.
I want to make a rhubarb crumble for the freezer - do I cook it in the oven and freeze when cool -part cook it and then freeze and part cook it when I take it out again or freeze it before cooking?
If I totally cook it does it then just need a heat up when I take it out of freezer?
    toots xx

    Toots,

If i were you, i would cook it, cool it then freeze it, when you take it out, defrost and reheat.

It will be much easier that part cooking and recooking - you need things to be as simple as possible later.

If its fully cooked, you can reheat it in the microwave if you wanted to xx

    HTH xx

TAG - well done stopping smoking, I stopped 5th Jan and keeping busy and change of routine is definately the key - same applies to Mr Triker btw!!! I still sometimes think, hmmmm i want to smoke, but the thought of stopping all over again puts me off. Well done you lovely, youve done the hardest bit!!

Thanks for that Jo. It's actually been easier than I expected this time. And in view of the fact I hadn't even thought about giving up when I did it was all a bit of a surprise really.

I think that as well as a complete change of routine, which I agree is a definite key to success, I also went cold turkey. Which after 2 days just got easier and easier.
Before, I'd used the nicotine replacement patches and TBH I think they just made things so much worse for me. Which is why I have never succeeded in the past.

DH is still puffing away - at the bottom of the garden I might add - and he was the one that was ordered to stop immediatley by the doctor:rolleyes:

I still fancy one on occassion but I'm just really chuffed that I haven't even had a cheaty puff. In fact I have impressed myself so much, that I'm treating myself to a laptop at some point in the near future:D with the money I've saved. Which will also solve the computer hogging problem that has become a regular occurance in this house of late:rolleyes:

I'm off for a shower and then to work. Just to keep on topic there's DD's bedding going through the WM on a 60 degree wash at the moment.

Have a good day all. Catch you at lunchtime ish.
