Morning all
One load of washing out on the line. I polished in the living room and the computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs.
Did the edging on the lawns that I didn't do last Saturday. Makes it look better. Might cut it again tomorrow, it feels a bit wet today.
Took the dog over to the post office and chemist with me, two birds with one stone!
I think that's everything this week, I can't see what I've forgotten
Dusty - just read about your Nan. I'm so sorry, but better for her than lingering on, possibly in pain.
Emily - I hate having workmen in, I find it very stressful - it doesn't matter how nice they are. Hopefully they will all finish today and you can relax.0 -
Dusty - Really sorry to hear your sad news, sending you lots of hugs...
Since I was here earlier I've done the supermarket shop, swept and tidied all through downstairs, done some washing & watered the plants. Off to see if any of that was on a list so I can cross a few things off. Going to do another hour or so then I'm meeting a friend for a walk this afternoon so the garden will have to wait.0 -
WTG that shopkeeper who labels sweet wrappers with the name of the purchaser...what a brill idea!
In my HHC I declutterd the LR, and cleared an armchair so my support worker can sit down!
Checked if the washing is dry so I can start another load later
washed up and s&s kitchen
took out rubbish and paper for recycling
made bed and got dressed (before taking out rubbish!)
Quite a lot really! Yay!

Thanks again for your hugs. I've had a good cry and feel a bit better now. Not looking forward to telling the boys later, they all fully understand and have lost loved ones before. I can't go and register her passing due to the need for a coroner to oversee things as she was not in hospital for 24 hours.
I can't really settle to much and not sleeping much last night is taking it's toll. I think I'll just finish my dalies and then maybe potter in the garden. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Rose a shopkeeper who sells sweets in a small village realised that kids were coming in to buy sweets then littering the wrappers (hers is the only shop there AFAIK) so she made the kids write their names on their purchases then if the litter is found they know who drops it. I believe she offers them two choices of punishment - one of which is to go litter picking to make up for their 'crime'. Genius! Littering is much reduced there...
I'll have a proper look for the story - I heard it on the radio yesterday. Here it is!
Have pegged out load two but I had to rearrange what was already on the line to get it all pegged out! Still the towels are drying well and load 2 is sheets, mainly, so shouldn't take long - which is good as I have duvet covers in the WM now.
I dont believe it! Another charity bag - they are coming at a rate of one every two days! TWO were due for picking up today! And I have NEVER heard of the charity that has just come - Breast cancer BUT registered in Lithuania? Sounds HIGHLY suspicious!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Been out all morning, I have to finish three days lists but the sun is shining and I have so much weeding to do. Going to make myself do HHC 11.50-12.20 then I can play outside.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
WTG Mozzy!
That sounds so great Valli! What a fab idea! That's the beauty of living in a village where people know each other and the names of the kids! Try that in Guildford and they'd have to put their name, address and phone number and it would take hours to trace each person! Villlage life is much better."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Dusty, sorry to hear about your Nan. Everyone's sending hugs.
FLying wise, I have (finally!) finished the MD present - after racing round the village trying to find lavender...found some lovely lavender and heather mix...and was up knitting till half past silly last night! Not on the pigpen list, but definately on mine. Just off to post it.
And, I think I am becoming addicted to ironing! I have done more in the past 2 days than I have in the past 6 months  .
And you lot have invaded my brain....I had a dream last night that Cadburys had made a Flylady Wispa chocolate bar!! :rotfl::A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0
