Glad you are happy Zebra.
For anyone else interested, I just got an Epson R220 for £57 (+RPoints) from PC World and got a load of compatible carts for £5.99 a set. (takes 6 ink carts btw!!!)
Just printed a photo on some Premium Glossy paper that came with it and its SPOT ON!!!
What a bargain!!!!0 -
MORPH3US wrote:Canon MP360 mate - print heads not easy to find for that either. Canon no help whatsoever when stuff is out of warranty - didn't want to know!
Most companies are unhelpful once the warranty is up: Epson, HP, Pioneer etc. don't want to know once they've got your cash.
One of the main reasons why I went for the Canon MP500 is that I can actually find print heads outside of Canon so can get a replacement when the time requires.0 -
Glad you've gone for something you like Zebra, thanks for letting us know.

My Epson Stylus 760 finally packed up the other day after about 6 years of using compatible cartridges. So after checking on a few printers decided I would go for either the Canon IP4200 or the Epson R220. After a bit more research into the cartridge side of things found there was no compatibles for the IP4200 so went and bought the R220 yesterday from PCW (using RPoints and collect at store). First impressions of the R220 are that it produces excellent results in basic text mode, although not had chance yet to use photo quality paper. Ordered full set of 6 compat cartridges (Inkrite) online yesterday for just over £18 and found them even cheaper on ebay today! Only time I have had problems with any cartridge is when I use refills.0

Mate, you've missed a trick there.
Check out Disk Depot, a full set of compats for £5.99. Delivery is about £4 (next day) but if you order 4 sets thats only £6.99 a set.
Plus disk depot are a great bunch too, when I ordered they had 1 cart from the set out of stock, e-mailed to tell me and said they would go out the next day! Good blokes!0 -
Thanks for the info MORPH3US. Have you actually used the ink from Disk Depot yet. Just wondered about the quality as I have used the Print Rite or inkrite ones for a number of years in my old machine, so was going to stick with them as I have been happy with the results. However if you or anyone have used these from Disk Depot and are pleased with the quality, then I am willing to give them a try. They seem unbelievably cheap but the site does not give the name of the manufacturer.0

Only just got my printer last week mate, set it up on Saturday, installed the compats from Disk Depot straight off (didn't even bother with the originals that come with it) and printed a photo with the sample Epson Premium Photo paper that came with it. It was IMO excellent quality!!! I was very impressed. Would recommend getting one set and giving them a try, what harm can it do??!
