Well done Claire - you're alright for food for a while then!
Congratulations on your news Hester & Happy Birthday Tru.
NicLou glad you're feeling abit more like yourself today. Halight I should think in part your feeling run down is a reaction to your redundancy. Give yourself time and TLC.
We had a lovely lunch with our friends - they got delayed coming here so I was glad I'd not done a roast, they were nearly an hour later than planned in the end. The tagine was pronounced delicious and the flatbreads came out really nicely. OH & I will have LO flatbreads and houmous for tea tonight.
Oh, while I think of it WELL DONE ENGLAND!!! - makes a nice change to see such a good result in the rugby, just hope Toby Flood hasn't done himself any major damage.
Other OS today - Bathroom S&S'd. DW almost full and will go on overnight. Towels have been dried outside and OH's rugby kit has been through the wash and is now outside also. BM on with dough for rolls.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

We have just finished our supper. A couple of weeks ago I was in Asda and picked up gammon and pineapple and chicken wrapped in smoked bacon 2 for £5 tonight we had the chicken, I did it with roast spuds, carrots, cabbage and calebrese and the remains of an Asda sausage casserole jar for sauce with a bit more tomato puree and a chicken stock cube, vienetta for afters costed out the meal Chicken £2.50, veg 50p sauce 25p vienetta £25p so a meal for 2 £3.50. I do like a decent meal on Sundays a throw back to my childhood, when we always had a joint of meat on Sunday....and then ate it cold, minced or in various other ways through the week!!! ooooops forgot the wine half a bottle at £3.99. How much would a meal like that cost in a restaurant??????
Did the chicken and spuds in the Remoska and the veg in the steamer....so not much electricity used.........it was very tasty and something I would do again, but make it myself with smoked cheese slipped in a slit in the chicken breast before I wrapped it in the smoked bacon.
Feel very full and quite lazy, so just going to chill..............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Happy Birthday TRU :bdaycake: :bdaycake:
Made Sunday lunch for 1p.m. with six different vegtables, roast pork and potatoes etc so DH happy and the home made yorkies rose !!!!:j
By the time I had washed up all the dishes, cutlery, three saucepans, the Remoska, two huge baking trays, the slow cooker and the cooker hob got cleaned- I was shattered.
Still had double sinks to clean and bleach before dashing out to supermarket for stuff for DD's packed lunch for school.
DD(20) phoned and she is coming home for a month next weekend so happy dancing smillies:j :j

Katy is going to get a bit of a shock if "auntie" can't look after the baby. I suppose it would be niave to ask what the father thinks of her plans?
Hugs to everybody and see you later"This site is addictive!"

Hi Elona
She didn't mention the father, she probably thinks she 'caught' it swimming or something equally daft.

_party_Happy Birthday Tru_party_
Hope you've had a lovely day and that the tru's waited on you hand and foot.
Halight Good to see you posting again. The twins sound absolutely adorable. Please take care of yourself and I hope you feel better very soon.
Tea ended up being a couple of scotch pies I had in the freezer with cheddar mash and green beans. I baked 2 gingerbread loafs and 2 applesauce raisin cakes this afternoon. I had one lonely banana in the freezer so I thawed it and tossed it in the cake. It came out pretty good. I also baked a couple of potatoes as I had the oven going and will slice them up for either wedges or fried potatoes with onions for tomorrow.
The dishes are washed up, kitchen clean and just having a browse on here with a cup of coffee. It's been a nice day. I tried out 3 new hair products that I'm getting from a company in exchange for reviews etc. All natural and what a wonderful job they did on my hair. I was truly surprised. Now I know why they have product testers/reviewers, to get us hooked on the products and we'll buy. :rotfl:
Off now to watch a bit of telly with DH. A holiday week for him this week. Hoping the weather is as nice as today was for us.
Have a good rest of your night.
Hugs,
Peyton xx

Evening all
Halight - well done for getting out in the garden and working on the veggies, even though you haven't been feeling too good. I put a low chicken wire 'cage' over my onion sets to stop the cats and the birds getting to them.
Tru - happy birthday!!
LoopyLinz - glad you're feeling better
Managed to get my raised strawberry bed done finally this morning :j six plants all tucked up cosy in homemade compost now. Gave the bed for the peas and beans a going over so it's all ready for planting now.
Spent the afternoon with my poorly chicken. She had a warm bath and we sat together in the conservatory with the heater running until she dried out. After eating some special sick chicken porridge she went to sleep on the windowsill and when it got dark I put her to bed
Going to try and get a good night sleep and get outside again tomorrow if it's nice.
Night all "carpe that diem"0
