Thank you Squiggly Diddly and Essex Hebridean for the brilliant ideas for using corned beef. I'm going to do a 'concoction' based on these and pop it into the remoska.
Later on I'm planning to go for a walk with OH to collect some nettles to make Hugh Furry-Animal's Nettle Soup. I'm not fond it, but OH loves it.Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Morning all :hello:
. One of my girls is not well so I have to check and see if she is eggbound and then give her a warm bath to relax her. if an egg is stuck, it should come out. If not, it's a trip to the vet. .
Steel, I read that as one of your DD's was egg bound, I thought you meant constipated, all was going ok with the warm bath bit, but taking her to the vet   , then the penny dropped
hope she is ok xx
Candy I hope your dd is ok xx
Beth how is your dd and your brothers ?
Snowy, good news re the job :T :T
Mrs Mix, nice to see you posting xx
Squiggly I saved and bought a Brabantia rotary line, comes with its own garden stake thing, so no need for a base, it was quite expensive  , but is very sturdy, and as far as I can remember comes with a 10 year guarantee , well worth the extra spend.
Beautiful day here, dd is off to footie for a few hours with her dad, OH and I will get out with little dog for an hour, and then off to a local car boot which starts at 12, much more civalised.
Roast lamb for lunch later, with roast squash and cabbage, maybe carrots. Will do it mid afternoon as I like to have a sit on a sunday arvo doing nothing.
Yesterday I bought myself, a mini chopper, its a James Martin one, which was on offer in Robert Dyass for £14.99, so will have a go with that later.
Bedding is in the wm, so will get that on the line later, I love clean sheets on a sunday, I always have a bath and hairwash too, I think it takes me back to my childhood, I do bath other nights too
Hugs where needed, have good sundays all xx
Happy Birthday to dear Tru :bdaycake: :bdaycake: :bdaycake: hope the Tru's are treatnig you well today, have a great day xx0 -
Diva So glad to hear you talked to Tristan even for a short time yesterday. That is a precious time that many do not receive when someone they love is so very ill. xxx
Katie and LoopyLinz Glad to hear you both saw the doctor and hopefully have everything sorted now. Please rest and take good care of yourselves.
Squiggly You're in the home stretch now. You're simply amazing! Congrats to you. :T
Snowy Well done on the new job. I agree it's always good to keep your options open. Good luck for the interview on the 23rd.
Bargainbird I honestly don't know how you keep up with it all with 3 wee ones. You're much more organized than I was for sure. I want to be like you when (if) I grow up. :T
AppleMint A favourite of ours is corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots in either some broth or fried up together in a pan. Very american, though usually a meal from the north rather than the south where I'm from.
Csarina Sorry to hear your DH's appointment at the hospital was less than stellar. It's so aggravating when the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.
Nic Hope today is a good one for you. Come and vent as you need to. The support here is so wonderful, from others who understand.
Whew! Everyone is on a posting blitz and I keep finding things to add to this post.
Good morning everyone. It seems to be a mild day here and the sun is out and shining. That always does my mood good.
Cleaning is done and I'm actually wondering what I will do with my day. I'm thinking a long hot shower and deep conditioning my hair. Then a visit to the park with Bree as it's so lovely out. I do live dangerously and with abandon. :rotfl:
Tea tonight looks like it will be something with square sausage and maybe some link sausage also. I have a bit of both left in the freezer I want to use up. Will add something to it and hope it comes out ok. We'll have our roast dinner tomorrow as DH is working today.
I didn't get to baking yesterday so I'd like to do some today. I'm thinking about a ginger loaf, applesauce raisin snack cake and some choc chip cookies. Perhaps I'll make up some cinnamon rolls also. We do love our home baked goodies.:D
(((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))) to all and I hope you have a nice Sunday.
Peyton xxTake the first step.
Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
Just take the first step.

Good Morning Everyone
It's another beautiful sunny day here I have one load of washing on the line & am just waiting for the WM to finish so I can peg the load out. Have done the dinner - chicken casserole in the slow cooker & all veg & pots are prepped. Dog & cats fed and half the kidsDS1 & DS2 are in bed either asleep or reading. DH has not been home yet from work last night as there's a carboot being ran by Lions so he's popped in to see if everything is ok. He'll be back & in bed in the next hour or so I would imagine.
For me it's the usual Sunday activities of homework, shoe polishing, ironing & hunting for varying things that have been magically 'lost' since FridayTru - How's the 'strike' going? I nearly joined you yesterday after being up since 7am doing everything to find it all a mess 2 hours later, towels on the bathroom floor & a flood of water everywhere
Thriftlady - I made the golden syrup loaf cake from your wartime thread yesterday it was yummy. We had it with custard after tea. I liked the fact that it wasn't too sweet & sickly. Thanks for posting the recipe :T
((((((((((((((((((((((big hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))) to all that want them today & try to relax a bit & do something just for you.

Morning all
I've not posted for a couple of days as there is absolutely nothing OS going on here, though I do always cook from scratch. It's so busy at work I ended up going in yesterday for a while. I'm not happy about it as I don't expect I'll be paid & it's all because the staff don't understand the word DEADLINE, we needed 250 copies of our options booklet to go out last week as the options evening is on Tuesday. When did I get the master copy? 3:30 on Friday, fat lot of good that was, at least now the bulk of the copies are done, but I get so fed up with everybody missing their deadlines.
Anyway, only one more piece of news, I had a phonecall from Katy at 8 this morning, she's pregnant & the baby is due in August!!!!
Have a good day everyone
Hugs Hester
