Ok, this is a shameful post.
After doing my finances all weekend since I started this diary on the 14/03/09 I have paid a grand total of £19.14 off of my debts.
Im not very impressed with this effort at all. Some have gone down, most have gone up.
The Vanquis card has been shredded and so will the capital one card once I get home.
This is yet again another fresh start to get going. There will be no more little treats, everything will have to be budgeted for inc Beavers and pocket money, tuck money etc.
It’s absolutely pathetic; £19.14 was not what I wanted to have paid off by now. All those train fairs on the CC and the little bits for Joe just add up.
Im going to explain all of this to my dad on the way home, so hopefully he will understand that the £20 here and there that’s borrowed and never given back hurts. As well as the quick drink in the pub every now and then.
So there it is. Ive come clean.
Vanquis / Capital one / and Great Universal have all gone up and not down.
Argos ends in November £90 left, £50 this month and £40 in November.
The books have finished being paid for and Next is down to £900.00 now.
I will be back later tonight L0 -

After checking more figures last night im still not very happy with myself. The interest on the cards is killing any pathetic effort i put in to pay them of.
My now not going to look at my debt as a whole. But take one account at a time. I dont have the debt some people do but i think this will make it easier to reach targets and get rid of the debt.
First card is Vanquis as the rates are sky high!0 -
hi Angie! Definitely direct all efforts towards one card for now! At least the Next account will be gone in November so more money will be released!
Good luck, you are still doing really well - especially as you have had quite a bit going on since you started this diary!
Loads a love, Nats xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -

Vanquis here i come!0 -
Ive been thinking about money all day.
Christmas is sorted, ive got the money from the pub thingy. So i want to get vanquis squashed as soon as possible. Tomorrow is payday and the first thing im doing is getting the cheapest phone i can to get ebay up and running. I will upload some more pics to the computer tomorrow while Joe is at beavers. Im also going go downsize with all the books i have. I was looking for one to take on the train the other day and couldnt find one i wanted to take with me. I will keep the signed ones and the certain sets i have but the rest can go.
Im also not going to stock up, well not online, the bill came to over £80, so im going to go the market and butchers in town for a few bits on Saturday and see how far i can stretch them - this bit im not to bad at, lol.
I will also start doing my sig every couple of days, i pop on most days anyway. Im off to bed soon anyway, so tired. I must stop thinking, it really is dangerous for me

Oh dear, im going to the beaver group outing on Saturday! Im sure that it will be fun, lol. We only have a small group so i will make sure im wearing sensible shoes! Train fare will come out of my spends, which hasnt been touched yet. Ok, i know its only the 1st!
Need to go to supermarket today, really have nothing in the flat. Also need to finsh Joes homework as he has bundles.
Still rather positive at the moment. Joe had a wobble on Tuesday, but seems to of got back on track.
Oh also havent got to argos yet for a phone, will look in tescos tonight instead but as i wont have time today.0 -
Sorry to hear that the debt hasn't been going down.
Good luck on your journery to debt freedom.
How much do you owe vanquis? When do you think this will be cleared?

The interest is just killing it really - as well as my spending, im most to blame though. HSBC Cards interest is around £40 a month, of course its going down, but when im only pay 60 -80 of a month its not going down fast enough.
Vanquis is at around £1200 i do have the extact figure, but im comfy watching masterchef and enjoying a nice glass of wine! I will update it tomorrow though!0
