morning all,
in work by 7.15, so thats at least an extra hour for next months pay. Got a lift in so £2.60 saved.
my darling little boy hasnt called yet and ive had no phone calls from the centre, so i asume its going well. keep finding myself wondering what hes up to, etc.
cant wait for payday on friday, have got all my little envelopes ready to put each budget in. once its gone its gone. need to do a resonable shop though as im low on basics like rice and pasta and all tins really. going to pop into town on saturday morning with my granny trolley and stock up on fresh veg and fruit and also check out the butchers. going to set a budget of £40 - £10 for veggies and £30 for meat.
hope everyone is ok, hoping the rest of this week will fly by as ive only got a three day week

OMG
I just had a call from PGL and i was so scared that something had gone wrong. Joe was just a bit upset and wanted to talk to me
He was also very wet and cold and a bit tired the leader said. All the boys in the dorm last night were being too loud and and stayed up way to late. He seems fine now and has gone quad biking. Also another boy used all the pics on his camera - cheap throw away one which he was a bit upset about, but the camp leader has said they will get another one for his quad biking. They seem a great organisation to be honest. Im glad nothing is too wrong and just hope he enjoys the rest of the time he has left.
Phew - at least i can breathe now.
Forgot to add all they boys are having a talking too later about staying up!0 -
Morning All,
In work early, cant do much as the roofers are here, im starving this morning, didnt eat properly at all yesterday. Im looking forward to picking up Joe today and hearing about what hes done. And seeing if hes got any pics at all!
Still getting my free lift in, but i didnt bring in any lunch and need to eat something now so am going to have to buy something, i feel sick cause ive not eaten properly.
Hope everyone is good, Im so exciting about getting my boy back, its only been 2 nights, lol.0 -
Morning,
ITS PAYDAY :j Not that it means to much but at least im one month closer to being debt free :rotfl:
Collected Joe and ive never seen him so tired or quiet, even though he had eaten dinner at camp he came home had 3 sandwiches, half a packet of jaffa cakes and a glass of milk and then asked for more food
anyway he had a bath and was asleep on the sofa in minutes. It is now official i cannot carry Joe to bed anymore, he is just to long and heavy and i cant get him to his room without, either dropping him or bashing his head of the wall (sorry Joe
) I havent had much time to talk to him but he wants to go back to another one so thats a positive.
On the money side im not touching any money other than the childminders today and whats left in my purse - £2.79 until i double checked my budget for June and then drawn out the moneys and put in seperate envelopes as i just cant trust myself with a bank card. Tonight all i will be carrying are my reward cards and libary cards!
Anyway, im looking forward to the weekend, going to get a paddling pool for my dads house and hopefuly have a bbq on Sunday.
Have a good friday everyonem its only 7.53 and ive already got this friday feeling, shame im going to be here until around 8ish - thats nearly a 13 hour day :eek:0 -
Well Friday was one long day! Got home with Joe just gone 9  I was shattered. We had fish and chips for tea as i really was too tired to cook.
Saturday i went to the market, spent £15.51 on meat - whole chicken, 8 pork ribs, 2 pork chops, small piece of steak and 6 chicken drumsticks. That will keep us going for a while as we dont really eat meat every day, thats in the freezer now.
Also spent £10 in the market, got 5lb pots, 1lb carrots, small cabbage, strawberries, apples, toms, garlic, onions, spring onions, corgettes, cherries, oranges.0 -
Didnt manage to finish posting yesterday, tutor was here and then my dad turned up. Joe had a good session with her so im going to keep it up for a little longer.
Sunday was lovely sitting out in the garden, Joe didnt get out of the paddling pool all afternoon, except for food. Even had a glass of wine whilst playing scrabble! Down side is now my shoulders are very red and so is Joe even though he had a t-shirt on and loads of sunblock, suppose the water washed most of it off of Joe.
Still not drawn any money out today, need to sort all budgets tonight. Also need to make the payments to credits cards, etc.
Used some of the veg yesterday to make some colsaw for sarnies this week, great if i managed to remember to bring my cheese and salad bagette thats in the fridge :rotfl:
Hope everyones having a nice sunny start to the week.

Oh dear,
I am going to have to leave work early again, childminder had to take her OH into A&E today as he has done something to his arm, just had a text and he needs it plastered and childminder doesnt think she will get to the school on time (Her OH is disabled too) so needs to stay with him.
Have just spoken to the boss, he really isnt amused, but there really isnt anyone else to ask - boss asked me if there was someone else who could collect him  I mean really, he knows i need the hours and money! He then suggested someone from school to collect him
Yeah course, cause i am at the school regularly  to even know these people :rotfl:
Will need to leave at 1.30 in order to get to school on time. Thats an extra £2.60.
Oh well at least the sun is shinning, so cant complain about that!0 -
Morning!
Well its wednesday, 2 days left til the weekend :j Joe has been behaving so far, just hoping he can keep it up. Hes got beavers today, so £3 - but to be honest this is great value for money. Ive also had to buy some sun cream and after sun as Joe is rather red still from Sunday. So far this week ive spent quite a bit
£10.40 so far on travel
£7.50 present for friend whos just had a baby - 2 outfits that were reduced!
£3 Beavers for Joe
£10.21 on suncream and aftersun
£1 on Monday for ice cream
£2 on fruit salad - today
so £34.11 so far - need to sign up to the NSD challenge me thinks.
Food budget is the only one going to plan - still not spent anything else yet.
Also quidco money came in £20.89 ive just paid this straight to Vanquis.0 -
Well Joe had an excellent day yesterday, he is off school today as they are closed for voting  so thats extra money i havent factored in. He went to beavers yesterday and was given his book, he needs to learn his privilage
but its only a few lines so we should be ok there :rotfl:
He has also got to do his airoplane badge, so needs to do a project on that. Was thinking about taking him up to Biggin Hill over the weekend so he could take some pictures for his project. Also really want to go to the Carters steam fair in Dulwich over the weekend. Been waiting for ages to go there. But we will see.
Hope everyone is well this week!0
