Hi Angie, Had a quick read of your diary to catch up! Joe is doing so well and am thrilled for you both that he managed to get to camp, he'll have a ball. Don't be too hard on yourself, you are doing so well and are a lovely Mum. Do chivvy up the professionals, they are the ones who should have the answers, but are so slow to act. (I had the same problems all thoses years ago). I know how you are feeling. If you do whay feels right for you both, you won't go far wrong. You are right not to take everything away, it doesn't work and what have they to achieve. I found when son was young, the most effective punishment was not to read a bedtime story. He adored a story, to the point I thought I'd be reading them when he was 20! I would explained that if he couldn't behave etc. I couldn't be bothered to read, treat him. I think if you explain to kids why x or y will happen they accept it and understand. You're doing a great job, so relaxz this weekend and be nice to yourself, Catch up again next week.xDebt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Well Morning All,
Didnt have enough time to update yesterday, work was manic and when i got home i didnt want to log on to MSE as id never get back of it!
Anyway, yesterday afternoon the head phoned to let me know how Joes day was he got all three stickers plus the headmasters one, 3 days this week :j Which just goes to show that Joe can behabe when he choses, which is really not acceptable and needs to be worked on. Head also said that he thought Joe deserved to go to camp, i think Joe told him he wouldnt be going to camp  So Joe did go to camp, we got home, he had a quick snack as the childminder had given him dinner and got him changed into his beaver uniform, i have never seen Joe so excited, not for the go karting or even xmas, he was jumping round, clapping his hands, he couldnt keep still :rotfl:Im just so happy that he was so happy, if that makes any sense at all! You should of seen his face when he saw the torch id bought him.
I loved the scout camp, once we got there. I did ask my dad to bring his map book, but he didnt because he doesnt need it  But in the end it was Joe who saw the sign, which we took no notice of until we went back and looked at it. But Joe reakons he cant read
and often refuses too. Anyway we got to camp and Joe was in his element. I helped put his sleeping bag on his bed, he got a top bunk and said i was leaving, Joe managed a wave and bye mum. He looked so happy and the buzz i got leaving knowing he was so happy was great. Its a shame it rained last night as they were ment to be having a hike and then a camp fire :jThey apprently dont go to bed til 10  But it all just sounded so much fun. I hope he is having a ball i really do, he needs something to get passionate about, something he wants to do and looks forward to. Ive got to go and collect him at 6.45 today as the last 15 mins there is a presentation or something like that. Joe is also being given his words to learn for is privilage? (if anyones got any more info on scouts id be grateful!)
So since ive been home alone, ive not really done anything
Last night id just vegged out infront of the telly, eating bread and cheese for dinner
This morning ive been for a run, im not sure im getting any better at all at this running lark :rotfl:but ive got to try.
As ive done naff all i really need to get some washing in and tidy up, Joes school uniform is still on the sofa, and the living room really needs to be hovered. But saturday kitchen is on:o, so im going to finish my coffee and then get moving on it all. Also going to prep the bolonaise part for spag bol. ohh, sugar, still not taken the mince out, will have to do that soon.
Suppose writting a hige post on MSE hasnt helped :rotfl:or even huge!0 -

Here are links with more information about Scouting generally http://www.scouts.org.uk/ and Beavers in particullar http://www.scouts.org.uk/beavers/ (one day I will learn how to do posh links)
His Beaver leaders are right not to send them to bed earlier as they are all so excited they don't sleep, best keep them up and ware them out, every body, including leaders sleeps much better that way. Also its another good thing about going to camp and doing diffent things from home.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Thanks for the links going to have a nosey around in a bit.
I understand why they send them to bed so late, they did say thats why the go on a hike first aswell to wear them out compleatly. I really wish i took part in these type of things as a kid. Even though i probily wouldnt want to sleep on the beds for too long nowdays :rotfl:
Looking forward to going and collecting Joe so i can hear about his adventures and what hes been up too. My dad is treating us to dinner tonight as well so im looking forward to that too.

Morning All,
Well i had a very tired but happy child last night. Presentation was great, hes got 2 badges :j One for his first night away and a friendship one :j We had dinner at pizza express which was nice, Joe told us about his time away, and i was told 'mum, you were right, i didnt think about you once!' Cheers Joe  They didnt get to have there camp fire as it bucketed down and they all ended up soaked :rotfl:But he has made new friends and really enjoyed himself, he is getting excited about wednesday and it looks like ive got some sewing to do :rotfl:which i dont do!
Need to get some housework done and wash his camp stuff for next week  time is just running by. Had a tesco disaster too, delivery was cancelled  so ive just bought milk and will have to make to until i can re-arrange it. Going to see what i can make for Joes lunches and mine, so best get the breadmaker on.
In fact best get moving now, Joes tutor is due to arrive any min0 -
Afternoon,
Joe is in the bath, going to get him ready for bed early tonight as he has had a couple of late nights. Tutor session went well, even though it is costing a fortune. We took the dog out with my dad, Have made the spag bol, 3 portions in the freezer as well as enough for lasana. It was easier to have spag bol for dinner today, so had that. Have made fairy cakes with Joe for his lunches and washed most of his camp stuff.
Still need to get loads of other bits done though- [STRIKE]meal plan[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE] freeze some of the cakes - that are left[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]slice and freeze the bread[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]wash up [/STRIKE]/ put away

- [STRIKE]get Joes school bags ready / pe kit / book bag[/STRIKE]

Morning All,
Not having a great start to the week, forgot that i had no childcare this afternoon, need to talk to my boss, but hes not going to be in until later.
Im over the overdraft £515.62 and ive got no tax credits until Friday, and only about £5 in my purse!
Im going to have to leave early today, no choice really, Joe needs to be picked up and there is no one else to do it. Going to take some work home with me - will check with boss first, as i need to keep my hours up. Cant afford not to be under 40 hrs. Didnt help that i got the 8 train instead of the 7.
Also going to raid all the penny jars at home, see if there is enough for my train all this week. Food im fine on, just milk and fruit top ups. Need to work out monies though as Joe is away next week, im off tues and its half term.
EHHHHHHHHH and still 2 weeks until day day!0
