    http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

    REINSTALL AVG
    http://www.avg.com/filedir/inst/avg_free_stf_en_85_278a1439.exe

    Reboot

To disable the Resident Shield, please:
    • open AVG User Interface
    • double-click on the Resident Shield
    • un-tick the option "Resident Shield active"
    • save the changes
    Then attempt COMBOFIX

Downloaded the Norton removal tool but it wont let me run it. It wont click on it to open it.

Can I ask exactly what youve uninstalled and installed and scanned with etc since we had the 'p2p' discussion that everyone got excited about?
Did you try opening the norton tool in safe mode?
