Putting a 1st Anniversary Card through door

LOL I made my OH a valentines card last year doing the letter cutting out thing.
I was only thinking of the new builds that are empty BTW ... not one a person is living in (which discounts the new build flats that they have ended up letting out)0 -
Bizarre!
OK, so did you want to buy the place or are you just some kind of long term householder stalker who watches local houses up for sale till you find a reason to write random notes to people you don't know!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
In 2 weeks I will be putting a 1st anniversary card through the door of a bungalow near me with a note saying: "congratulations, you have been on the market 1 year and have dropped your price 5% when the market has dropped 20%!" In fact, I may buy a job lot as there are quite a few houses coming up a year!
you come across as somone who is going to get high fived on the forehead by someones fist oneday soon. why antagonise people? My aim for 2009 is to SAVE not spend. my aim for jan is to have £400 by 30th jan...... here goes! total so far. £30;)

You've just posted a random note on a forum to people you don't know ...
I'm a long term property snooper who is seriously looking to buy. I think properties that have been on the market for a year and haven't reduced their price are owned by seriously deluded people.0 -

They are: but that doesn't make it okay to consider putting a card through the letter box;)"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -

I think empty properties are a blight on the community. There are people in substandard & temporary accomodation who could be houses in these empty homes.
I do not see anything wrong with the law that enables councils to take over 6+ month empty properties and use them for homes for people.
I think people who refuse to drop the price (especially companies) when all around them the housing market is dropping are crazy.
I don't think there's anything wrong with it when it's an empty new build property. Chances are it's likely to sit on the doormat for another year before they have another viewing anyway.
Perhaps instead of dropping a card through (postcard would make the postie smile anyway) - we should all write to the council's pointing out empty for 6monthsplus properties.0 -

How sad. It's really none of your business what people market their homes for. If you want the house put in an offer.
It's their house and their choice. If they are desperate to sell they will reduce the price, if they're not they won't.0 -

Seriously deluded they may well be, thats their prerogative. It's their house.0 -
It seems that many people here actually believe that Pingu is actually going to go through with his plan... surely it was just a way of having a fun dicussion at the expense of the self-deluded?0
