  • Welcome all newbie budgeteers I have added you all to the first post.

littlepinkstars44 feel free to include what you want in your budget, most people do not count planned expenses or items budgeted else where.

Welll done F_F on getting the quote down that must be a relief.

babs2008 I ended up buying my sis a top and skirt from M&S (with gift receipts!) and sending her some flower cheaply from ASDA flowers by post. I never know what to get her I just hopes she likes it.

:hello:beencounting I can't seem to find the £ sign on my new netbook thingy, I think because it is an american keyboard it just comes up with a # all very strange and somewhat disturbing.

Anyway for me today I had lots of present related expenses but the only one that counts for this challenge is 99p for a coffee at lunch.
thanks, i will not budget the bus pass then, cause i lift the £40 out when i get paid and keep it aside for the whole week!
Ok so my plan for this week is £10!
I'm not sure if thats alot or not, but i'll see how i get on and can change it next week if needed!
and i spent £1.60 today on cartons of juice for college :)

I am hoping for a low spend day today as I know I will need to take the bus home tonight but hope not to spend anything else.

Well I think today is going pretty well. I knew it wasn't going to be another NSD as I have Slimming World (£4.50) tonight so it's going to have to be a NSAFSWD (No Spend Apart From Slimming World Day) :p

Brought breakfast and lunch in from home so that's a gold star for me, hehehe.

Will check back in later to see how everyone's doing. Hope you're all having a good day. xx

    Finally a Homeowner 04.10.13 :j

  • Hi All

Not sure whether I've spent or not spent today!! Basically I had to pick up a few bits from Boots (grocery budget?) and then OH bought me a coffee and cake lunchtime (his pocket money?:rotfl: ), so, since I still haven't got my £10 out of the bank, I guess that's a NSD for me!!!:j

PointyPenguin :hello: - looks like my ££££££££££££££ sign is back again! I really have no idea why it comes and goes. Think I'm probably accidently pressing something which makes the keyboard go Americal on me. It usually goes back to UK when I log back in...

I spent a couple of pounds today on a travel make up brush set from No 7, but saved £5 with my voucher, so don't think that should count :rotfl:

Also bought coffee from the machine, so total spend has been £4 as the change I had I put into my Sealed Pot.

I have already gone over my £20 limit alas. I was on target, but then my boss has sent me to work in a branch 30 miles away this week so I had to buy petrol. It's very annoying because if she hadn't have done that I could have got through another fortnight with the petrol I had. So, I have failed this week alas.

    Hi Hermia

Will you get expenses from work for the petrol you had to put in today? If so you could call that a loan to your work and still get to come in under target. (OK I know technically you've had to pay it out but sometimes we can be quite inventive to stay under budget cos its more motivating that way!)

Nothing spent for me so far today -extra bonus is that I'm borrowing someones car this week (mine is unwell and in car hospital) and they've filled it up with fuel for me to use (parents can be great;):D )

We get some money for the petrol, but not the full amount so I will still be over my limit.

What sort of groceries did you get a boots?;) Fair play to you though if you didn't actually spend it then it doesn't really count.

As for the £ sign I am still working on the netbook one but can't find it.(Im on another computer now)

I managed to turn my keyboard into Japanese (or some other symbolly language) yesterday while in the library it took me 10 minutes to figure it out:eek:Why oh why would you have shortcuts to do these things, surely Japanese is not something you just slip in and out of that quickly.

Anyway for me today £1.30 on bus home form Uni and 55p on a caramac.

Hermia as the petrol was beyond your guessing maybe you should not count it and try to carry on ignoring that spend to see how you would have done without it. Nothing like a bit of creative budgetting.:rotfl:

kate_pixie sounds like you are off to a good start.:T
