babs2008 what are you planning on getting your mum for Mother's day. I think I am only sending mine a card seems a bit mean but she said she didn't want me to waste money.

I saw some nice things in Past Times online (and they've got a sale on). There was a lovely mirror compact and a necklace - but typically I think I've left it too late for delivery now
I think we've got a store about 15 minutes away, so I may head out during the week to see if they've got them.
    Looking forward to the future.

    Hi everyone!

    PP - I'm alive :D

I stayed within budget last week, but only barely. This week I will be within budget as it's the last £30 I have in the bank before payday on the 23rd which is free for the spending. I do have about £60 left of my groceries budget, but I did a huge shop at Asda yesterday and would like to use most of this for a wee trip up to the Frozen North next month.

Sorry I haven't been around but if you have read my thread you will know that my bathroom has gone mental and leaked on downstairs and I have been quoted around £1800 to have it fixed. This has brought on a bit of a bout of depression and I'm just trying to shake that now.

I will be ready for some budgeteering this week though

    Morning all

    First post updated with Hermia.

beanielou I'm fine busy but doing ok.

F_F sorry to hear about your shower problems. Flats are an expensive business. I hope you managed to get it sorted out as cheaply as possible.

Anyway I have to go and buy my sister's bday present which come out of another budget the problem is to make sure I buy nothing else while I am there. After that I am off to the library again!

I got my mum's card and present in past Times. It came to about £15. As I was walking up to the till one of the shop assistants gave me a voucher which would give me £5 off if I spent £20 so I went and picked up three birthday cards for my aunts who all have birthdays soon and basically got them free!

    Hi all. :)

Spent £6.90 of my £10.50 budget last week, so I'm in the green! :)

This week I have £10 in my budget - shouldn't need much more than milk and bananas! However, I'm just starting off this year's chilli plants, so spent £1.48 on some compost. We're trying some purple ones this year... should be amusing! :)

F-F - sorry to hear about your bathroom - these things always happen at the wrong time - especially as there's never a right time! Keep your chin up hon, and remember you're at a better place for it to happen than you were a few months ago.

  • £1 gone already. :( I missed my coach back to Bath (another £19 on the c/c for another ticket  ) and was sat in Victoria Coach Station for 2 hours waiting for the next one. I had to buy a bottle of water while I was there or I think I'd have had heatstroke. Anyway, I'm back in Bath now and ready to tighten up on the spending. I've got two mystery shops this week which have to go into the budget. I'm packing sandwiches for before my night out on Thurs and might not even drink this week. I will make it, I have to.

  • Hi PointyPenguin and all budgeteers!

I'm holding my hand up and head down...completely blew the budget last week, not even sure how much I spent, so red for me....:o

I'm going to have to be extra careful this week as I'm supposed to be having lunch out with a colleague later in the week. I'm hoping to get away with having soup of the day (just hope it's something sensible!).

So, please put me down for #10 (grrr  , that pound sign has gone again!), there's no way I'll manage #7.50 this week.

    Been

[Edit...oooh, meant to add that I will *try* to post every day this week to force me to stay within budget!
