Going to report this to Sky TV does anyone have James Murdoch's email address as I think they are going to be very interested in this companies business model.

If someone can pm me the email address would be appreciated.

Well basically, someone called me on my disposable number (free sim card) and sounded very spanish would fit with the whois information and asked if I would like to join them and its basically forwarding Pre-Paid Sky Viewing Cards to British Ex-pats who do not have a valid UK or ROI address apparently, now if you touch the package in any way they don't approve of you don't get paid.

Email Recieved

As you are aware Quickpenny provide a mailing service for British Ex-Pats,
who from time to time require a U.K. mailing address.

- Within the few weeks we will send to your home a stamped, addressed
envelope to our offices that is fully paid for by us, there is no cost to
you.

- Then we will call you to let you know that there is an item of mail, for
our European client, coming through the post to your address. We will advise
you of the name and approximate delivery date.

- All you need to do is put this item of mail in the envelope we have
provided and mail it back to us in your nearest post box.

- Upon receipt of this mail to our offices we will credit your PayPal or
Bank Account with TWENTY FIVE POUNDS.

It's as easy as that and no cost to you what so ever!

This may happen a few times during the year and we will obviously advise you
accordingly.

- We will also pay you FIVE POUNDS for everyone that you refer to us that
is accepted.

Please send their details (name, address and telephone number) to
info@quickpenny.net with your name and email address and your customer ID,
which you will find at the beginning of this email.

Please use the customer ID also for further correspondence with us.

We confirm that this arrangement can be cancelled immediately by either
party for any reason but as a matter of courtesy would ask for 14 days
notice. Furthermore we confirm that there is no contractual obligation,
responsibility or cost in any way to you or your property by way of this
arrangement or our procedure.

We look forward to talking to you soon.

Kind regards

Paul Strike

All you have to do, is carry this box through customs, and we'll give you £25! :rotfl::rotfl:

Barge pole territory. What do dodgy expats need UK adresses for? Dodginess, that's what.
• "What do dodgy expats need UK adresses for? Dodginess, that's what. "

Hmmm, slightly stereotyped view of retirees preferring to live out their days in the sun, doncha think?

I'm pretty sure that the reason for the 'Do you subscribe to Sky, Y/N?' question is because Sky subscribers, even including those with only the Free-to-view card need a UK address to have smart-cards sent to. Part of Sky's agreement with its advertisers is that ads will be properly targetted at UK/ROI viewers, not ex-pats living in Costa Packet. The way round this is to give them a UK (or RoI) based forwarding address.

If you answer 'Yes', Quickpenny.org can't use you as Sky's records will already show your address on their database.

Whilst the operation could easily be legit, and anything that loosens the Dirty Digger's stranglehold of what we can and can't watch is fine by me, what if someone with a bad credit record (and now conveniently out of reach in Tenerife) gets their name 'associated' with my address?

I do agree though that a proper homepage with the usual Contact Us 'n' stuff, rather than going straight into an application form would make this feel less of a 'bargepole' job! Maybe they fear that if they are too specific, Uncle Rupert will try to have them closed down.

I agree, was just being nosy really! Anyway, I didn't put my real phone no. down as I was hoping they'd just email me. Not heard anything yet though...
• Had a phone call from them today, a nice lady basically explained the service as above - Sky TV card gets sent to your address, you forward it on in a pre-paid envelope, they send it on to ex-pat living in Europe who can't get a Sky card with an address abroad, you get paid £25. I expressed concern about having someone else's name and possibly debts associated with my address but was told "as it's in the client's name nothing will come back to you at your address."

Anyway, I politely declined, and from the tone of the caller it sounds like they get that a lot!
Stay away from that Trap Door, 'cause there's something down there...
• This sounds like a con - if there is moneylaundering going on - you would be caught up in the middle of it - BEWARE!!
Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!
