I know
great isnt it
, if I time my posts right I could hang about here for ages
... I bet I'll find the bailiffs have been in during the night though & removed me from my home
Now, come on then Numpty, when are you coming to do my wee[strike]d[/strike]ding then ( Reverend Numpty sounds great :rotfl: )
Thanks for your support Shoe Gal :A I'm always organised in my mind... it's just the reality bit that goes wrong
must add you to my subscriptions then I can [strike]nag[/strike] encourage you on a daily basis
Thanks for the diet tips Wol :A - I had a nasty feeling that someone was going to suggest that excessive hobnob consumption wasnt really helping matters & both you & Horace have now made it quite impossible for me to ignore  . I do wonder whether there might be a bit of a wheat intolerance going on as I do always feel rather distended after bread or pasta. I love my salads & veggies but at the moment I'm just struggling with trying to feed both DD & myself in the evenings... cooking is not my favourite thing
hence the love of salads, bread & pasta + jar of sauce  anyway I will try really hard as I cannot spend the rest of my life wearing the same 2 pairs of jeans & spring is definitely on its way :j
I've spent the entire day in the garden & am close to vanquishing the nasty vicious brambles that have slashed my arms to bits  I have just removed another thorn from my finger too.
It's been a NSD too so I'm bang on target for March
& I have just made the weekly debt payments  : £50 to CC1, balance now £ 3,485.24 & £25 to CC2, balance now £ 2,361.66 so the total owing now is £ 5,846.90p.
When declaring the facts & figures earlier I forgot to mention that the minimum monthly payment on CC1 is currently about £107 & for CC2 it's about £70, so in total I'm overpaying roughly £100 a month which isnt as much as last year but it's the maximum I can manage at the moment & the best thing is, that according to the snowball calculator if I continue with my current payments then I will indeed be debt free by June 2011
I've sorted & folded 600 leaflets ready for tomorrow  & have packed them all into my new mono strap bag that's bright pink & cost a whopping £1 from tatco :rotfl:
Still cant manage to do brief update posts
it's a throwback from all those exams I waffled in to disguise the fact that I never did any revision & hadn't a clue what I was meant to be writing
thanks for all the company you lovely peeps :A

Lula - I am going to send you a freebie, it didnt cost me anything and you can have it for free. Its a tagger bag with a nice strap, a bag and 3 flaps so that you change the colour according to your mood and it would be ideal for your to put your leaflets in (just in case the one from tatco disintegrates) You will need to let me have your address again as I deleted the PM with it on - its a rather snazzy messenger bag that I will never use and it is something that I don't want despite it being a freebie (it was free with a pair of crocs).
Well done on the weeding too - brambles are vicous nasty creatures.
Why not get a copy of Delia's How to Cheat at Cooking - I am a hopeless cook and can just about manage a roast dinner and a spag bol, my tatties are done in true Delia style - bought from Aunt Bessie:rotfl: .Her recipes are easy to follow and they work unlike other recipes from other cooks.
No - you dont want hobnobs - try eating a piece of cardboard box instead as it will taste the same:eek:0 -
Oooh thanks for offer of freebie H :A ,
Hmmm I just cant admit to my hobnobs tasting like cardboard - they're gorgeous... just need to stop making them; I only started to save some money but think I'd be better off buying DD some biccies from tatco that I dont like  .
As to Delia .... well, I have a friend who is a chef & the last time she visited & saw a copy of Delias' complete cookery course on the kitchen windowsill she shrieked with laughter & her precise words were " well, you've got a nerve having that in your kitchen"
:rotfl:
I decided long ago that should I ever win the lottery I will happily continue to do all my chores but I will install a chef

Hi Lula, just found the new thread...... don't tell anyone but ur still on the DFW board.....sshhhhhhhh!

Lula - you could always sell your homemade hobnobs rather than eat them yourself.
I have a few delia books - ones that I have picked up in charity shops and I swear by them, I also have books by others like Jamie Oliver because I like to read cookery books and look at the pictures but wont make anything:rolleyes: I think I will employ a chef when I win the lottery as well as a butler and a maid:rotfl:
The Tagger bag is one of these:
http://www.taggerbags.com/shop/products.php?bagbuilder=1&cat=messenger&subcat=crew&shopsession=1
It has a yellow body, an orangey yellow strap, a blue flap with tagger in pale blue, an orange flap with tagger in green and a green flap with tagger in yellow. Basically it is 3 bags in one because you can change the flaps. It would be nice if it went to a good home and I think it would keep your leaflets warm and dry as well as looking trendy. PM me with your address if you are interested and I will send.0 -

Awww thanks hon :A & just the fact that you're here is good enough
SarahNeedle - I know, but :shhh: we're keeping it a big secret
thanks for dropping in
Well all is well in lulaville today
; went to do my deliveries this morning in bright sunshine & warmth. Apart from the earnings this job is really doing me so much good. I'm getting exercise & sunlight after years of being stuck working at home on my own. I had a leaflet through my door today about a company wanting leaflet distributors & I'm half debating whether to ring up about that...* imagines getting paid double for doing the same route already doing* but it probably wouldnt work out that easily  .
I've not spent a single penny today
& as soon as I'd finished the deliveries I took the 3 large bags of brambles to the tip, that'll teach em to stab me
After having 'words' with DD last night about the state of her room & slack attitude towards me & helping out around the house ( considering the trips she's wanting to go on  ) she's made a bit more of an effort today. I fear that we're entering a new era though where subtle defiance replaces sweetness
. Having discovered that her version of tidying her room was to sweep everything under her bed  I had to carry out my previous threat of throwing everything into a bag to take it to the charity shop... there were many tears particularly as there were 3 library books & a ds game under there. It sickens me that something the size of a piece of chocolate is worth £30; no wonder kids find it hard to appreciate the cost/value of these games & gadgets. The bag of stuff is now confiscated until her room is cleared.
Now all I need is someone to confiscate the pile of bills & filing that lives on the dining table :rotfl:
Very tired now so need my bed; deliveries & counselling session tomorrow
bye for now

Hiya :hello:
Like the new home - is that a smell of fresh paint I detect? [sneezes - excuse me :embarasse ]
All this talk of hobnobs has prompted me to buy the ingredients for brandysnaps and gingerbread, [BAD ME
] so I think I'm going to need a delivery route of my own to avoid them settling on my posterior. On the subject of Delia, I should point out that the cooking is a new venture; I have a vast selection of cookery books, all largely unused. If you spot a small dark cloud somewhere in middle England, that'll be my brandysnaps burning.
Hope the counselling session goes well.0 -
Hello all & thanks for dropping by Hollyberry :A
* feels all warm & snuggly with the 'old gang' here
*
This is my new home & anyone is free to grab a paintbrush & join in .
Counselling session was a bit of a weird one today... went in feeling fine & then found tears running down my cheeks halfway through
oh well, I now have a chart to fill in each time I have an 'episode' of fear & self loathing ... must make sure I actually do it at the time & not 5 mins before it's due to be handed in (like my business studies 'a' level coursework  - not really surprising it turned out to be more of an 'e' level
)
Still havent spent any money since saturday, so another NSD brings my total to 11 so far
I really am trying hard to rein in the food shopping habit. I buy loads of pasta & sauces because I think they're easy & cheap but I'm not actually that keen on them so need to stop buying them. Time for my wheat allergy to kick in
I also feel as though we have to have loads of food in all the time which is ridiculous as there's a co op 5 mins walk away so could easily shop every other day & still achieve my NSDs each month. It's all about changing my mindset & since Wol mentioned jacket potatoes... I've been craving them but having checked the store cupboard I found a couple of rather bendy, wrinkly sprouty ones that are only fit for the compost bin
.
My feet are aching now so I'm off to get horizontal for a few hours
G'nite
