I'm with T-Mobile on a friends and family tariff and will be due an upgrade soon.
I know i'll have to pay for the phone but was wondering if there is any difference between the prices online and the one you would get over the phone.
Also if I take an upgraded handset would that mean that I would change my contract and essentially lose my F&F discount once that person leaves the company or would I still keep it for life?
Thanks!0 -
If you had it before August 2008 It will stay after they leave the company, After August 2008, If they leave it will run for the rest of the contract then drop off0

Hi Hawkins,
Update if you could what they offer you. From what I hear the upgrades are not that great on any discounted lines, but are improving. My contract is now up but I think I might wait a couple of months to upgrade as there are a couple of new phones that caught my eye that are due out soon'ish.
I would also like to upgrade from wnw to wnwplus and see if I can use the sim in a dongle for internet access. Anyone know if this might work?
Good luck Si0 -

I haven't rang them up yet but on the website I can have a G1 white for £100 or the N96 (which are the two I'm considering) for £320
Not sure whether I'll get any better over the phone!0 -
Hi Hawkins,
How did you get that info on web about upgrade prices? I have logged onto my tmobile but the upgrade tab just tells me that ' they cannot offer upgrade info and to call 150'. I had read that upgrade info for F+F tariffs are not avialable online.
Cheers Si0 -

I literally just logged in and look on upgrades and renewals and that was what I was offered!
Mine used to say that about an upgrade but the changed to what I see now. If you text up to 150 it will tell you if you're entitled to an upgrade or not at the min i.e. whether your contract has run for the specified length of time0
