And it won't let me post links as a new user...

Anyway, I did say I'd put the back of the ticket on here:

And also here's my rejection of the informal appeal by the council:

I suspect I'm probably going to have to pay up, which is annoying for an honest error.

No further comments on this one then? I'm really not sure whether to pay up or dispute it further....

neither of your last links work. surely you can see that they don't even show up as links?

Without being able to check the signage and markings you are somewhat stuck. No one local has volunteered either but I don't think you mentioned the road.

    You could try 'streetview'.

They don't show up as links because I don't have sufficient posts to put links in. I did mention that a couple of posts up and I think that's something that many people have mentioned before. I don't want to be sarcastic to someone I'm asking for help, but surely you can see that? Copied and pasted they do work.

The road in question is Chiswick Road. I wasn't sure whether or not it was wise to post that.

Not for me they don't? - and it doesn't explain how I was originally able to see the PCN front from a working link you posted in #4 - but which now also doesn't work??
    Without that I don't know your timescale/deadlines.

Did you check streetview as I suggested?

    Really? How peculiar?

When I first posted there wasn't the limit on the number of posts you had to have before you could place any links on here. It changed after my first post for some reason.

Yes, I've checked Streetview, but you see the problem is that I don't know what I'm looking for.

I'll try and investigate why those links don't seem to be working.

Well it's a general forum problem. As I understand it they block such links for the first 10 posts. This is to stop spamming.

they do this because, although I personally find 'boardguide' 'crabman' very helpful and attentive, they have nobody actually actively moderating.

Other forums either don't do this or have lower post limits.

that doesn't explain why your link worked the first time around. It might now.

A little confession! Not noticing that you had in fact mentioned the road earlier, I was within 300m of it yesterday Arggghhh!

what I've seen on streetview - something curious - but we will need 'Bogs'. there are indeed 'resident parking signs all down the bay but at very spurious intervals. Seem a long way apart to me and maybe not compliant with the requirement for within 15m of each end?

I experienced the same about 1/2 mile away yesterday. The other aspect is that none of them say when they apply? I know this is on the CPZ entry signs (probably) but I wonder if there is a requirement to repeat that info? i was actually flummoxed yesterday trying to park safely with the same signs. In my case I was lucky that there was also a P&D option and I found the info (not Sunday) on the machine - but on no signs at all.

I'm sure 'Bogs' will have something to say about this and I can try and nudge him. Meanwhile I am concerned about your timescale which I can't recall?
  • NB...can you link me to the location on streetview, I've not used it before. Ta.

As they say this is a CPZ ideally we need to check that the entry signs are compliant so need photos.

Ah! Tall order me old mucker but appreciate your input!

I only ever find anyway by setting google to maps then for this it is 'Chiswick Road W4'. click on little yellow man when it settles and he will be you in the street. then you can walk up and down and look left and right and for this one you may need one zoom for the signs. Lots of fun when you get it.
to move forwards or backwards it is the grey arrow on the road not the compass thang top left. To look left and right it is the compass thang top left.

link -- hmm i'll try in a mo but connection gone limited now. let's see.
