just as general info for everyone, i spoke to Boots h/o because i bought some things on saturday but now need to return them, but as i had spent over £10 i received a £5 skincare voucher, i explained that if i now return the items the amount i spent will be below £10 but that i had already used the £5 voucher so what would happen. They said not to worry, the £5 skincare voucher is given as a "GIFT" and has no monetary value and that i am entitled to a full refund on the items even if it takes the spend below £10, they also said if i have any problems i am to tell them to ring their h/o!
    I hope this helps.
FAQ updated - many thanks for this. :)

My sister has never bought a meal deal, yet the AC machine constantly offers her 100 points vouchers, whereas I buy them regularly and if I do manage to get one its never been over 75 points!?

I used to be offered 100 points so started buying the meal deals, then it went down to 50 so I stopped, now it offers 25!
I have given up trying to apply logic to the AC machine offers!

There is a voucher for £2 off some no7 body lotion and one for £2 off some new foundation. The voucher for this says that is reduces the foundation from £9.50 to £7.50, but it reduced mine from £9 to £7. The sa had to go in the basement to find these foundations, she said they are not due out yet, but got them for me anyway.
So possibly could use £5 no7 voucher in conjunction with this?

with the 100 point voucher from the machine which you can use with the face masks....did the sa scan it once, and it automatically took it off more than one mask, or have you got to ask her to try and scan it more than once?.....

Out of interest.. has anyone ever returned a 5 day detox kit?

I tried to yesterday... (tried my sisters and it's vile) was told I couldn't return it as its classed as 'medicines'!!!.. tried to query this but got no joy.. and had a tutting queue forming so left it
With this Detox kit, if it tastes vile, could you not added sugar/honey/fruit juice to it to improve the taste?

It's generally a given that all medicines taste foul, so I'd be interested in what Boots Customer Care said if anyone ever complained to them, "I don't like it!" :)

Anyway, the best detox is a sensible diet and loads of water. (with the occasional Lindor choc!)

They won't scan them more than once-
I haven't done this particular one, but when the glitches work this way they just add points for every one automatically. If you have to print out more than one voucher, they usually make you do it in separate transactions which is a pain and doesn't help you spend £10 either.

I'll no doubt use it.. was watching that 'spa of embarrassing illnesses' on UKStyle... must have had a rush of blood to the head and thought I'd give the detox a try :D

I just didn't think it was a 'medicine'.. but I suppose you could argue that if its taken orally then it is

I do drink loads of water as it is (don't drink pop)... the trouble is, I still have 3 boxes of Lindor choccies left :rotfl:

From Boots' point of view, that's totally logical. The promotion is there to tempt you into buying the meal deal, as soon as you do and become a regular customer, the value of the offers tail off. (They've got you!)

However, if you've now stopped buying them, logically it should be trying to tempt you back by beefing up the offers again.

Why am I trying to apply logic to the Boots Computer? :D
