Hi ladies,
Am just catching up after having a few nights away from you. Don't think I posted on Thursday although I'm not sure why, we had people over on Friday night and were away last night, so this is my first chance to read everyone's news.
Krystal - the porcupine cake is amazing, I bet Aimee loved it!! It's probably all been eaten now, but what I wouldn't give for a piece of it right now.
LouLee - whenever I log on at home (which is pretty much all the time I'm sat on the sofa!), I have the lappy on my knees and tap away at the keys. Like EmLou said, I think this bubba is going to miss the tap-tap-tapping, as he or she will be so used to it! Hmmm, why can't I be addicted to hoovering or something so that if baby won't settle when it's born, I can just hoover and baby will fall asleepPlease can we have a run of punctual babies in late June / early July so I can follow that trend
Can I take part in that too please. I really really want an on-time baby too!Has anyone got their MatB1 form handy?
I've only seen a few and the last one was about two years ago. Seem to remember they have a box for the midwife to write the "week commencing" date of your due date in - can anyone tell me if that date is the Sunday or Monday before your EDD?
I'm due on Sunday 19th July, so just trying to work out if mine will say I'm due in "w/c Mon 13th July" or "w/c Sun 19th July" IYSWIM?
Thanks!
Hi Elle , I'm also due on a Sunday and, although I haven't received my form yet, I have been told that my "week commencing" will be my actual EDD date, as it starts on the Sunday of the week you're due.
ETA - oh, have just seen Krystal's reply saying exactly the same thing. That's because I'm making notes as I'm going along rather than writing everything at the end, when I'm bound to forget something!!

Benjamin weighed in at a healthy but not massive 8lbs 14.5oz.
A very long and tough journey for all of us, we are still in hospital. Every second completely worth it for my gorgeous boy. He is a joy, breastfeeding well and sleeping even better, so far he hardly murmers!
Will post birth story and pics when I get out of hospital.
MFD xx
YES!!!!! Congratulations to you both on Benjamin John's arrival. He sounds like a dream baby. Looking forward to hearing your BS (and seeing a picture) when you've got some more time.
Ooh, have just read further on and see that he's BFing like a pro!
Sami - the photo of Christopher and your dad is soooo cute!
Durham - thank you for posting your BS. I do like reading about other people's experiences. They all vary so much, and from a first-timers point of view, it's good to know as many scenarios as possible. I can see my DH making jokes and it not going down very well with me at all!!searching_me wrote: »just back from shop and munching on random veggies .... celery with colesaw on top ... LOVE IT! or should i say bubs loves it x
I HATE celery but am loving coleslaw at the moment...ham and coleslaw sandwiches. Yum!
Greent - sorry to hear about your break-in. I hope they choke on the easter eggs.
Catz727 - one of each. Perfect!!
Princess81 - congratulations on the arrival of Ryan. Lots of best wishes to you all.Gonna start the ironing, yuk!
Ir*ning is a swear word in this household!!!
We got back from our night away at lunchtime, so I've been making the most of the lovely weather and have been out in the garden this afternoon. OH did lots of manual stuff (getting garden furniture out of greenhouse, sweeping patio and heavy digging) while I planted some seeds in our little vegetable patch. I've been really fastidious about wearing gloves when doing any gardening and good job today as I came across some cat !!!!!! as I was planting seeds - gross!!!
When I got on the sofa though tonight, my back was really aching. I was doing quite a bit of bending in the garden, although nothing very strenuous, but whatever position I sat or lay in on the sofa, I couldn't get rid of it, so perhaps I need to take it even easier. Hubby fetched me my V pillow and I'm reclining on that which is much better now.0 -
Yeay!! Still caught up
I've just done 90 mins of ironing!! And still have about the same amount left. Washing machine has just gone on too, and will be on twice more tomorrow after I've stripped beds (lots of dust being created by builders tomorrow, so will strip beds to sheets whilst they're here) - lots more ironing! It never ends
DH has been sat on his bum since we got back around 4pm - hasn't done the DIY he was going to, hasn't moved all the boxes of lights and his new drill (he's chuffed - he bought himself a makita one) from the kitchen sides, hasn't taken the boxes to the garage attic which I lumbered downstairs with and labelled up this morning, hasn't put a new part on fridge, hasn't mended daughter's lights, hasn't put up new coat rack, hasn't taken v heavy new towel rail upstairs, hasn't put dressing up box away (heavy and lives at the back of a sloping cupboard so I can't do it) - and wonders why I'm a bit p***ed off with him. I've done the ironing (but none of his as a protest!!), bathed teh toddler, fed the children and myself (I only wanted cereal, so he can get something himself if he wants), tidied stuff away, emptied and reloaded dishwasher, cleaned guinea pigs cage out, sorted and put washing on, moved a load of stuff around upstairs to keep it out of dust's way tomorrow, put washing up away and probably more that I can't think of right now - including making 3 cups of tea for us, cos he can't be bothered to get off his backside even for that!!
Argh!!! Grr!!!
Rant over

dooleys I got my moses baskets and stands from someone on stuff4sale
Got some bouncers as well but apparently not all babies like them, and they're for after a few months anyway, all a bargain!
Not sure what we're doing about a pram yetWe're going to look at a Jane Twin 2 but they're sooooooo expensive  will be the biggest expense though
Must be the day for backache0 -
Right - baby questions
How many sheets do you lot reacon I need for Roo's moses basket that we bought today?and in terms of duvet etc for her basket - what type, size, thickness should I get??? reading Princess's story has just scared DH and I into action realizing that we need to get all this organised NOW just in case!
Apart from the moses basket, sheets and duvet will I need anything else when she comes home from hospital as far as sleeping goes?
Have nappies (thank you Boots!), baby wipes, cotton wool balls, sudocrem, baby powder (and everything else that comes in the Johnsons boxes that were in the Asda baby event hehehehe), changing mat and table.
Need top and tail bowl and baby bath - anything else I need for changing and cleaning the little mite?
Clothes... have a couple of bits but need more sleep suits without and with legs, socks, and mittens (although I could just get enough socks and give them double use lol). Need muslins etc from JL when I get a chance and a baby sling... have buggy and car seat...
OK - have I forgotten anything??? :eek:DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
Hi all..
searching - very cute bump
catz - congrats on your twin combo! Now you can have one of everything!
princess - wow! congratulations on the birth of Ryan.. wishing you both wellxx
mrs moc - fab result on the car boot!! Anything left to go next week, or do you have a completely clutter free house now? (and if you do, you're welcome to start on mine!)
On the cleaning/nesting front, I've totally given up. I'm at the "if it's getting ripped out, why bother cleaning it now?" stage - which luckily for me feels like the majority of the house!
Had a really nice afternoon with OH, my sister and her wife. Their new house is really nice (a newly renovated rented cottage in the centre of town) and SIL cooked a lovely teaMy sis was just disappointed that bump was asleep so she didn't get to see my belly moving!
I slept all the way back so we didn't call in on OH's parents so I got bombarded with MSN msgs from FIL when I got back - he wanted to show me his new allotment! Will have to go for tea one night in the week.
Now I have a headache..And Bob's woken up!

OOH I go away from the internet for a weekend and 2 babies!! Congratulations guys.
Don't suppose anyone knows of any discount codes for the Birmingham Baby Show do you??? The one in my Emma's Diary pack was helpfully for Earls Court which was LAST week (I only picked it up this weekend!). When we went to the Machester one last year I found a code on the bounty website but I can't see one this time.
Anyone??0
