dont worry mrs t youre secrets safe!! yes I do do batch cooking but am no saint (unlike weezl who CAN live on 50p) The wee munchkin is fast asleep and is due a feed at 11 so will have a snooze there...weezl and I benefit from each other and its lovely to know that they trust me with their precious bundle (must be the 30 yrs childcare exp, nneb and police check!) and hopefully they'll sleep...said they could peek if they get really anxious but ideally I want them to sleep as now worth the sacrifice on my part otherwise...If I could afford it would be a doula but cant so will have to keep up me day job!

Btw, anyone wanting to pack away old clothes, Argos have still got those jumbo vacuum bags for half price - I finally got mine tonight!

You already forced me to get mine last weekend!!! 2 bags packed and vacuumed, 2 more to go. Sucking it with the vacuum cleaner was strangely satisfying!!! All my 'I will fit back into them' clothes, packed away safe and sound for the next however many years!

Forgot to say elle, that I have also been getting so many comments over the last few days about my eating habits. I went to the loo at work today and was washing my hands when some random person from my office said 'whenever I see you, you are eating crisps'. Well I wasnt eating crisps on the loo!!. I just said, I eat all the time, not nescessarily crisps and then I went on to give her a list of all the things I like to eat whilst I stood by the exit door so she couldnt leave. We were there some time.

Later in the office, someone said do you find that you are hungry all the time. I said yes, I just cant help myself. She then proceeded to go through my bin to see what I had eaten that day. She pulled out my coke zero bottle and said 'I cant believe you drink this its like bleach'. Ummmm bleach or coke zero, which would you choose!!! She then pulled out my twirl wrapper, crisp packet, starburst packet and sandwich packet (she didnt know about the packet of haribo I ate in the car on the way in!).

The next person that approached my desk whilst I was eating, I just said yes I am eating, I am always hungry therefore I always eat, this is what I ate today (reeled off list), I intend to eat rice and lamb for dinner, followed by ben and jerrys icecream and maybe a satsuma or 2 to finish. I think the person only came to tell me that my client had arrived!!!

Someone also asked me earlier in the week whether I was worried about losing the weight when I had had beanie. The same person told me I shouldnt be wearing heels either.

Another person asked me if I knew that labour would hurt! I think her next question may well have been 'how did the baby get into your tummy'.

None of the above people have ever had children!!! Pregnancy just lets me see a whole different side to people! I cant wait till they are pregnant and I can get my own back!

mook i know exactly how you feel... but people at my work go on and on about questions about me being pregnant or take jokes to far ... and whoever invented the word preggers... should not just be shot they should be hung up by there bits (be they male or female) and beaten by every pregnant lady in a 5 mile radius x

LOL, thankyou for that mooki! :D

The stupid thing is the main culprit has known me for about six years - she's 60+ and has two children in their thirties herself. She's started working at two places when I've already been there a while, so she's always been the newbie coming into the group of people who already know me. I always remember vividly that three days into her first week the first time we worked at the same place she walked into the kitchen when we were eating lunch and greeted me with the words, "Oh, so you do eat then!"

The girl I'd replaced (who she never met) was the same dress size as me, but painfully ill looking with it and had weekly counselling sessions for eating disorders (I was never sure exactly what type she had). Imagine if a new person had come in and said that to the girl before me?! She had no idea about me and yet came out with that. As I've said before, but for the record, I've always been like this - can eat what I like and not put on an ounce, although my arteries are probably clogged up with allsorts!

No-one with any common sense or tact would make a comment if you walked into the room and saw a larger person munching on a cream cake, but it always seems "acceptable" to comment on the eating habits of a thin person  If anyone can explain that one, please let me know! :o

Have to say, I do get some comments that I don't mind at all too so maybe it's confusing to those around me watching me accept some and get annoyed at others - although isn't that a pregnant lady's perogative?! ;)

One of the guys from Accounts passes my office every morning and shouts "Hi Bump" which I just smile at, but the union rep used to greet me with the words "Hi you two" (right from 12-ish wks) which really annoyed me. I mentioned that one to one of the manager's and she happened to tell him how annoying it was when people did it to her (her LO is 18mths old now) and he hasn't done it since! ;)

Oh, and other stupid comment from above woman.. "Oh, don't you look bigger this week than last?" and "You're really putting weight on now" - no !!!!!!, I've got a growing baby in there!!

Hi ladies hope everyone is OK.

I can't stay on here for long, the SPD is giving me gip, I can hardly walk or even move around ~ plus I've got piles and OMG my backside is killing me so I can't sit up for too long either :(

Steve cheered me up before though ~ he's got us tickets for next week, to see Lionel Richie!!! Cracking seats too - front block, right in the middle and 3 rows from the front!

Me and Steve just had a winge watching Comic Relief - it breaks my heart all these sad bits about babies and little kids dying. I'm so grateful we live here and have the NHS, even if it is pants sometimes at least we know we can get help if we need it. We've both just donated £10 each from our mobiles, I wish I could donate hundreds though.
