    Hey ladies...

I just wanted to let you all know that my bleeding got alot heavier this morning. The scan just confirmed what I already suspected. I'm starting to have a miscarriage. They were lovely at the EPAU. The lady was scanning me & I could see that there was no heartbeat. We're gutted but we already have a beautiful daughter so I know we can have children. I'm waiting for the hospital to call me tomorrow morning to arrange my appointment for a d&c.

I asked if she could tell how far along the baby had reached & she said 8 wks 5 days. It just seems like such a long time ago as I should have been 12 weeks now.

Oh well chin up & I'll be back ina few months. going on holiday in 5 weeks to see my family in Spain. I can't wait to see my sisters & nieces. :A I'll also be able to enjoy a drink or 3!

Good luck to you all...I'll still be checking to see how you all get on. :T
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:

    (((hugs for Glam)))

I've got nothing to sit on except DH's footstool/puffee thing or a hard wooden chair, how do I watch Eastenders? Also knackered because I helped disasemble the sofas and hoovered them.

Pregnant lady needs to watch telly in comfort but had no telly in her bedroom :( And DH has now left so I'm all lonely.

Why has your sofa been stolen?!?

    xx

Sorry FG, didn't mean to make you feel sick :p

Right... The thing with babies... When they're born they tend to have a really good feed straight away... Then they can go for a loooooooooong time before they want to feed again... Maybe as much as 8/10/12 hours... So really, when you're in hospital and they're trying to establish breastfeeding, there's a chance your baby won't want to feed again before you're due to leave anyway... Its good that you're determined to do it, and know where to turn for help, I think that's worth a bit more than someone who stays in overnight to 'establish' feeding, then goes home to a family who have never seen someone breastfeed and doesn't know who can help when they have some trouble... Really only you can decide if you feel supported enough to go home straight away... (But IMO, your Mum is probably going to be more accessible to you at home than all the midwives running round after a ward of postnatal women and trying to make sure all their paperwork is completely up to date...)
I wish I knew this before I had Chris (and that the bloomin' MWs did too!!) Chris fed for about 20mins just after being born then about 5 or 10 mins in the evening and then wouldn't even open his mouth for over 12hrs! they woke us both up every few hours through out the night and then tested his blood glucose in the morning and it was fine but we were both knackard and stressed!!
krystal ... HA! chance would be a fine thing... nah he says a baby should be born in hospital where they where inteaded ... apparently but im trying to make him see the home birth aint so bad and alot easier in alot of ways but hes not hearing any of it and just says do what you like ... ... he makes me so damn annoyed sometimes x
yep just like all other animals, human babies should be born in a hospital, at least it's easier now with the invention of the wheel, riding a woolly mammoth while in labour must have been pretty hard! :p

Becky - So sorry to hear your news, Holiday will be just what you need, hugs xx

They have a 'no overtime' policy but as one of the senior managers left (didn't replace him either so def cutting costs!!!!) I offered to help out on a couple of projects. So I think that when the projects are done they might no give me anymore. It's really helping thou for me to save for SMP.

I've not claimed my 20 hours OT for March as I am being paid for 17hours annual leave this month so will pay loadsa extra tax/NI/Student Loan/pension.

Becky ((((hugs)))) enjoy your holiday, I am sure you will be back with us soon. Lots of love Glam xxxxxxxxxxxx
