I do agree with you about "Spaces", though. It's absolutely brilliant. :)

Which is why the Ubuntu variants of linux do it too! Microsoft are so far behind the times...
Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.

If you're using XP, download theVirtual Desktop Manager powertoy and you can have up to four desktops, or you can go third party for XP & Vista with VirtualWin, Dexpot or VDM :)

Wow, that's impressive. Can it catch a different virus on each one? :)

Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:

As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

...or just wait a few years until Microsoft implement it into Windows, as they're now doing with the dock, and smart folders.

It's funny, a copy of Mac OS X is about $100, yet Microsoft spend millions on R&D for Windows.

What do they spend the rest of the money on? :rotfl:

because Apple really invented the ideas behind multiple desktops, didn't they?
Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.

Mock ye not. Informed sources in Redmond have leaked that Windows 7 will be a very effectively plagiarised copy of Mac System 7.

    Windows 1 - 1985

    Mac System 7 - 1991

Both featured a row of shortcuts at the bottom of the screen.

Anyway, I posted those links to anyone who might be interested in multiple desktops on Windows.

I must be having a stroke, as I don't recall saying that they did.

    Marty J,

On another matter entirely - but while you're here :) - this review, published today, might interest you. It resolves an issue we were debating elsewhere.

(Apologies for interrupting the thread. :o )

Looks like it does support the 30-inch monitor then.

Just goes to show you can't believe everything you read. ;)
