Phoenix traders - what is your most successful selling technique?

Just want to say hello, and glad I've found this. Been a trader for about 4 years now, but only ever done it in a small way, unfortunatly essential paid job gets in the way timewise.
Would love to give up job, so could concentrate on Phoenix.
What has been the most effective way of selling for you all?
Open to lots of good ideas, some I may have tried, some not.
Have got quite a lot of stock in hand, so am trying to only order Xmas ggodies to people who ask for new brochure, otherwise am trying to shift old stuff.
Have not had alot of luck getting into venues around, as there are alot of us around, 8 within a 5 mile radius, of where I live, and thats in a pretty rural area, there are probably more that I don't know about as well!!
Would like to try basket drops in local health centre, dentist etc, but when I've tried in the past have had no luck. Want to have another go, but obviously need new dialogue, either verbal or written.
One lady has bought off me in the past works there, but is shy of asking the centre manageress as she's bit of a dragon!! Any suggestions?
Need some feedback, and encouragement from you all
Hopefully, Snowbell0 -
When someone hosts a party at their house , how much do you give to them? Is it a percentage off their personal bill, or a percentage of the whole party's sales?0

It is up to you, but personally, I give 10% of the whole party's sales (in free products of their choice, or in cash if it is for charity).0 -

Hi
Just had a quick read through the newsletter and I am amazed that there are people out there that made nearly £3000 PV in August. Can I just ask how the hell they do that. I am struggling to make 125PV some months. Obviouly missing something......:rotfl:0 -

I'm not convinced Phoenix know what the policy is yet, it is changing too much too quick.
Hi there,
Contacted phoenix last week and asked their advice about advertising online, they told me that the charity were allowed to say that we were distributing catalogues as a fundraiser but to ensure that no images were used as they were all copyrighted.
LornaThanks for the advice Martin! :money:Member no. 920 - Proud to be dealing with our debts0 -
What have you been doing so far in order to gain business?
Hi
Coffee mornings, brochure drops in local area and friends and family. I would really like to do more events at fairs etc, but the ones I have tried to contact already have someone from Phoenix so not been successful with that - obviously not quick enough or they are returning year on year.
I would love to contact some businesses or schools, but not really sure what to write to persuade them to try.
Have tried to get friends to have parties, but no interest in that area. Any advice would be great. I really love the products and I want to do more. I hope to build a team, but again no interest in people joining. Again, any advice on how people have built a team and gained leads would be helpful.
:jThanks0
